IIIT Kalyani Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

The total seat intake for Executive MTech is 30 per year. Applicants are offered seat in the course based on their performance in written test/ interview conducted by the institute. Once selected, candidates need to confirm their seat by paying the course fees.

The application fees for JEE Main is written below

• INR 1,000 for Male unreserved, OBC, EWS category candidates
• INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category candidates
• INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category candidates

IIIT Kalyani BTech cutoff 2025 has been released for admissions to various specialisations. As per the last round cutoff 2025, for candidates belonging to the OBC category All India quota, the cutoff ranged from 76282 to 96400, wherein B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) was the toughest and B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, the easiest. Aspirants must pass BTech/ BE/ MSc/ 4-year BS (CS/ IT/ ECE/ EE or related disiplines)/ MCA to apply for Executive MTech at IIIT Kalyani. In addition, there is no age limit. Eligible students can further fill out the application form and take the admission test. 

No, admission to all the courses at IIIT Kalyani is through an entrance examination. For BTech, admission is through JEE Main and GATE/UGC NET/CSIR NET for PhD. Candidates seeking admission in Executive M.Tech courses need to take the entrance test conducted by the institute. Hence, there is no provision for direct admission as of now.

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech. 

So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 28928 and closing rank was 40528. Cut offs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Kalyani - Indian Institute of Information Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm in what category they are applying while checking for the cut offs.

Candidates need to submit a self-attested copy of the following documents while filling IIIT Kalyani application form in online mode:

1. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
2. Aadhaar Card
3. JEE Main Admit Card

1. JoSAA Provisional Seat Allocation Letter
2. Seat Acceptance Fee (Payment made to JoSAA)

5. Category certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ GEN- EWS
6. PwD certificate
7. Copy of Medical Certificate (as per JoSAA 2020 format)

Candidates need to pay a non-refundable application fees to apply for PhD course at IIIT Kalyani. The application fees for PhD is INR 500  (INR 300 for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).

After completion of interview process selected students are required to pay fees to secure their admission. As per official sources the tuition fee to pursue MTech at IIIT Kalyani ranges from INR 1.2 lakh to INR 2.1 lakh. Students can pay fee in online mode via net banking/credit card/debit card.
