IIIT Una Admission 2026: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

There is no such provision for direct admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una. IIIT Una accepts admission for the BTech programme based on a valid rank in JEE-Main. Candidates aspiring to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una must take the JEE-Main exam conducted by NTA by filling out the its application form through JEE official website. Candidates having JEE-Main rank above the closing rank specified in the cut-off list released by the college can apply for the counselling process where they can fill their branch preferences followed by document verification and fee payment.

The modes of IIIT Himachal admission are offline and online. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. At the undergraduate level, IIIT Una offers four-year BTech courses to students. At the postgraduate level, IIIT Una offers two-year MTech courses to students. The IIIT Una also provides PhD courses to students. To get admission to these courses, candidates must have a valid score in accepted entrance exams like  JEE Main, GATE, CCMT, and others. There is no such provision for direct admission in the M.Tech programme at IIIT Una. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech programme at IIIT Una must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidate should have done BTech in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
• Also, candidates should have valid GATE scores based on which they will be selected for further admission process. Those having GATE score/ rank above the closing rank can apply for the counselling process through CCMT.
• Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment.

Those seeking admission to the M.Tech programme at IIIT Una must meet the below given requirements:

• Passed BTech in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
• Valid GATE scores based on which they will be selected for further admission process. Those having GATE score/ rank above the closing rank can apply for the counselling process through CCMT.
• Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment.

Starting the JEE Main preparation from class 11 or 12 is the best time. As JEE Main syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12, students can easily cover all the topics along with school. Students can begin by checking the topics that is covered in both school and JEE Main and give special attention to them. For all three subjects, study NCERT and also take help from reference books. Understand the concepts thoroughly and solve numerical problems. To crack JEE Main along with class 12, students should devote at least 2-3 hours for JEE beside class 12 studies. Regularly solve JEE Main mock test and solve previous year question papers to evaluate the performance.

Students who are preparing for JEE Main 2026 must start their preparation by studying NCERT books. It will help in building strong foundation of concepts. Study chapters that have high weightage in JEE Mains and also topics that have been asked in recent years. In the last month before exam, solve mock tests and previous year papers.

Every year, NTA conducts the JEE Main entrance exam for the selection of eligible candidates in IIT, NIT and IIITs. The admission process for JEE Main 2026 (session 1) registrations has been completed. JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam was held from January 21 to 30, and session 2 will be held from April 2 to 9.  January 21 to 30.

For admission to BTech at IIIT Una, eligible candidates can apply for the counselling through JoSAA nd CSAB.

Find below a list of documents required to complete the JEE-Main application process:

• Valid email id and mobile number
• Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
• Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable)
• Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA

IIIT Una cutoff for M.Tech is based on GATE scores followed by the GATE CCMT Counselling. GATE CCMT Counselling 2023 was held upto Round 4. The closing ranks for IIIT Una cutoff other than General category for M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is mentioned below: 

• 322 for OBC 
• 232 for SC 
• 363 for EWS 

Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA, there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with appearing in the JEE Main exam.

It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. Many institutes offer admission at 60% and even less, along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.

Given below are the eligibility criteria for admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una:

• The candidate must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with a minimum of 75% aggregate.
• Also, candidates must have valid JEE-Main ranks based on which they can apply for the common counselling process through JoSAA and CSAB.
• Lastly, selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

JEE Main Registration 2024 session 2 last date was March 4. NTA released JEE Main 2024 Application form session 2 on February 2. JEE Main Application form 2024 session 2 was available online on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates who have applied for JEE Main 2024 session 1 had not register again. Such candidates only need to fill the paper details (BE/BTech or BArch/BPlan) and pay application fees. JEE Main 2024 registration last date session 2 was March 4.
