IIIT Nagpur Cutoff 2026: JEE Main Previous Years Closing Rank

IIIT Nagpur cutoff for BTech admissions is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. JoSAA Counselling 2023 has been concluded after the release of Round 6. JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses including B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. As per IIIT Nagpur JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 27288 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Nagpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 27737. In 2023, it decreased to 27288. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from:

• 132447 to 6770 for SC 
• 238781 to 3707 for ST
• 36943 to 4824 for EWS
• 315956 to 1038 for PWD

This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. The overall percentile required for the BTech programme is 75% (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12 or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective Class 12 board examination. Admission to the BTech programme is based on candidates performance in the JEE Main exams. Also, participating in the JoSAA/CSAB couselling is required for the seat allottment.

IIIT Nagpur offers respective courses on the basis of entrance based eligibility. Candidates must meet the cutoff rank to secure a seat at the Institute after the counselling round. IIIT Nagpur admits students to BTech based on JEE Main score. Students must fulfill the basic eligibility i.e., pass 12th with a minimum score of 75% from a recognised board. Hence, you can certainly apply for the BTech course offered at the institute if you have score 85% in Class 12. But you have to perform well in JEE Main exam to secure a seat at the college.
