There is no option for students to take direct admission in the MBA programme conducted by the IIM Kashipur. Students looking forward to get a chance ton study in the IIM Kahipur have to meet the eligibility criteria and achieve an acceptable percentile in the CAT examination. A bachelor's degree duly recognised by UGC/AIU with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for general students. Yes, IIM Kashipur offers a two-year executive MBA programme. Candidates willing to take admission to the MBA programme at IIM Kashipur must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
• Candidates should have a valid score in the CAT/ GMAT/ EMAT exam based on which they will be shortlisted for the personal interview (PI) round.
• Candidates should have a three-year of work experience.
• Candidates must qualify for the personal interview (PI) round followed by document verification and fee payment for final seat allotment in the MBA programme.

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Kashipur, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Kashipur were required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 was held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

For admission to IIM Kashipur for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022).
