IIM Ranchi MBA Courses & Fees 2025: Admission 2025, Cut off, Placements & Scholarship

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Ranchi, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Ranchi are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

CAT Institute of Management Ranchi accepts CAT scores, followed by the Personal Interview round for admission to the MBA course. As per the IIM CAP criteria, the expected qualifying CAT cut off for the batch of 2023-25 is 93 percentile for the General category students. No, IIM Ranchi does not provide direct admissions to any of the IIM Ranchi courses. The institute has a predefined admission process that all candidates need to follow.

• The first stage includes meeting the eligibility criteria. Candidates can check eligibility for all courses here. After matching the eligibility criteria, the candidate has to appear for the respective entrance examination.

Note: Admission to Executive MBA is done through Personal Interview only. The candidates are not required to appear for any entrance exam.

• The candidates who are able to meet the cut-off are then communicated for the second round which is a PI (Personal Interview) round.
• The final stage includes admission offers for IIM Ranchi, based on a Consolidated Merit List (CML), which is generally prepared based on entrance exam scores, personal interview scores, and academic profile.

The IIM Ranchi MBA Cutoff 2023 was 92 percentile for the General Category, with sectional cutoffs of 70 percentile each.

Students planning to study MBA at IIM Ranchi should clear all the admission requirements. They should achieve the accepted CAT score for the purpose of admission. Once the admission letter is offered to the students, they need to confirm the admission by paying the acceptance fee which is a one-time deposite fee. Eventually, the tuition fee needs to be paid.
