CAT Institute of Management Ranchi accepts CAT scores, followed by the Personal Interview round for admission to the MBA course. As per the IIM CAP criteria, the expected qualifying CAT cut off for the batch of 2023-25 is 93 percentile for the General category students. For admission to IIM Ranchi MBA candidates need to meet the eligibilty criteria and score a good percentile in CAT that matches the IIM Ranchi final CAT cutoff.

To be eligible for IIM Ranchi MBA, the candidates must have the below mentioned qualifications:

For admission to MBA (or PGP) 2024 batch at IIM Ranchi, the CAT test was conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of IIM Ranchi are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

IIM Ranchi's final CAT cutoff 2023 was 94 percentile for the General category students. Cosidering the previous year's trends, it is estimated that the final CAT cutoff 2024 for IIM Ranchi will range between the 94 and 95 percentile. Apart from IIM Ranchi, candidates can also get admission to IIM Raipur, IIM Trichy and IIM Kashipur, among others with a CAT percentile of 94-95. IIM Ranchi CAT Cutoff 2024 will be released soon after the declaration of the CAT 2024 result. For the past 3 years, the CAT percentile cutoff has remained 94. Looking at the past years' trend, there is a high probability of the CAT percentile cutoff to fall between 94-97. 

IIM Ranchi admission 2025 to MBA course is based on CAT 2024 scores followed by Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates must note that for admission to IIM Ranchi, they are required to meet both the overall CAT cut off percentile and also the sectional cut offs.

The cost of IIM Ranchi MBA is INR 17.50 lakh which includes acceptance fee, tuition fee, caution deposit and Alumni fee.

Component-wise bifurcation of the total fee is as mentioned below:

*Tuition fee will be paid in 6 equal instalments of INR 2.85 Lacs for each term except the 1^st instalment will be of INR 1.85 lakh because the Acceptance Fee will be treated as tuition fee for 1^st instalment.

In addition to the above-mentioned fee, mess expenses will be paid INR 27,000 per term.

• To be eligible for the Executive MBA programme of IIM Ranchi Candidates should be a graduate or have an equivalent degree from a recognised university/institute with  minimum of 50% marks and have at least 5 years of full-time work experience
• Application fee for Executive MBA Course is INR 2,000 (including GST)
