IIM Visakhapatnam MBA eligibility criteria is a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ PwD category) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India (including the Associate Membership Examination (AMICE) of the Institution of Civil Engineers (India) as an equivalent qualification). Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification examination can also apply for admission to the MBA programme.

Candidates seeking admission to the PGPEx at IIM Visakhapatnam must meet the minimum eligibility requirement. Candidates must have passed a minimum of three year Bachelor’s degree examination with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent and must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience at an officer/ executive level or higher; as a professional or as an entrepreneur. Candidates who have a part time work experience, clerical (non-officer/ non-executive) experience and apprenticeship experience will not be considered as an eligible work experience.

IIM Visakhapatnam admission is based on CAT examination percentile obtained by candidates and their performance in Personal Interview. IIM Visakhapatnam aslo offers Post Graduate Program in Digital Governance and Management (PGPDGM) spread over four Semesters of five months each. This programme is launched under the aegis of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India (GOI). The eligibilty criteria of PGPDGM 55% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree and Selection includes CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMV Test+minimum of three years of full-time work experience.

For admission to IIM Visakhapatnam for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2024 is expected to be declared by the third week of December 2024. The institute released the provisional CAT 2024 answer key on December 3, 2024 and the last date to raise objection was December 5, 2024. However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024.
