IIM Visakhapatnam Scholarships 2026
IIM Visakhapatnam scholarships include only central or state government schemes along with third party institutes. It does not offer any scholarships on its own however, students can secure financial aid through a need-based scheme if they meet the requirements set by IIM Vizag. Selection for this financial aid scheme provides students with upto 100% waiver of tuition fees.
Types of Scholarships Offered by IIM Visakhapatnam
Students are offered scholarships of merit-cum-means nature where they will be evaluated for both need as well as merit in curricular performance during selection. Financial aid scheme offered by IIM Vizag is also a merit-cum-means scheme. Some of the government scholarships recommended by this institute are as follows:
- National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students: This is a mean based scholarship which is available for students of ST category with an annual family income of less than INR 6 LPA. Students can secure full tuition fee waiver as well as financial assistance for other permitted expenses within IIM Vizag fees as prescribed by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
- Top Class Education for SC Students: This is a means- and merit-based scholarship applicable on eligible and merituos students of SC category for PG level courses. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have an annual family income below INR 8 LPA.
- Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities (PwD): This is a scholarship scheme operated by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for students with physical disabilities.
- PM YASASVI Central Sector Scheme – OBC, EBC and DNT Students: This scholarship scheme is applicable for students of OBC,EBC and DNT categories who are eligible for PGP course. Further, such students must have an annual family income of less than INR 2.5 LPA in order to be eligible.
Eligibility Criteria for IIM Visakhapatnam Scholarships
To be eligible for IIM Vizag financial aid scheme, candidates need to fulfill following criteria:
- Enrolled in the second year of the PGP at IIM Visakhapatnam.
- Annual family household income shall not exceed Rs. 8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh only).
- Secured a minimum CGPA of 2.20 in first-year.
- Not accumulate more than 12 Deficit Credit Points (DCPs) in the first year.
Any student of this institute will become ineligible to apply for this scheme if any of the following are applicable:
- Selection for any Government, Non-Government, Corporate, Private, or other scholarship.
- Student has been placed on slow track during the first year of the programme.
- Subjected to disciplinary action during the programme, as determined by the competent authority of IIMV.
For government or third party scholarship schemes, candidates need to go on National Scholarship Portal, State Scholarship Portal or on third party institute's portal after securing IIM Visakhapatnam admission to see eligibility criteria.
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
Students are offered tuition fee waivers of either 25% or 100% if they are selected for IIM Visakhapatnam financial aid scheme. Only 8% of total batch is selected for this scheme where 6% are offered 25% and 2% are offered 100% waivers. Government or third party scholarships also offer upto 100% tuition fee waiver.
Fee After Scholarship at IIM Visakhapatnam
PGP fees will be INR 19.78 lakh if students secured their position among 6% of their pool who are offer 25% tuition fee waiver. For students getting scholarships from government or third party as well as being in 2% of total student pool, they will be offered 100% tuition fee waiver. This will result in them paying only student welfare fund, caution deposit and an advance for Mess, AC charges, printing and photocopy charges. These total to INR 2.7 lakh within IIM Vizag PGP course fees.
How to Apply for IIM Visakhapatnam Scholarships
To apply for government scholarships, candidates need to go on National Scholarship Portal for central government schemes, State Scholarship Portal for state government schemes or on scholarship portals of third parties offering financial aid. At IIM Visakhapatnam, students are allowed to apply for financial aid scheme in a single application process. Where to obtain and submit financial aid application will be told to students eligible for this scheme.

The total fees of the MBA course at IIM Visakhapatnam is INR 20.86 lakh. For the Executive MBA/PGDM programme, the total course fee is INR 8.25 Lakh. This fees has been taken from official online sources.
Total tuition fees for EMBA at IIM Visakhapatnam is INR 8.3 lakh. Candidates will be charged this fees in six installments of equal cost except for first installment. That installment has a slightly higher fees due to one-time payments.
Out of all courses offered by IIM Visakhapatnam, full-time PGP course has the highest course fees.
Total tuition fees for PGP courses is INR 19.8 Lacs which when combined with one-time payments and other fees totals to INR 20.86 lakh. This is nearly double that of EMBA course which comes second in terms of cost.

Placements: There will be a structured mechanism that should be strictly followed by the placement in-charge to ensure that all students get placed in some top companies with the best packages. The rate of success in placement for the course of PGP would be 72 to 89% definitely. Rest of them succeeded or not it's mostly based on the drive toughness.
Placements: IIM Visakhapatnam provides multiple opportunities and roles across different sectors. Start-ups and big MNCs come for placement opportunities. As per the function, companies do come for all different roles, such as marketing, finance, analytics, etc. The highest package last year was 42 LPA and the average package was 14–16 LPA. Almost 85% of students get placement opportunities here.
Placements: The placement record of the college is becoming more promising with each passing day. Currently, a limited number of companies are visiting. The highest package offered, as per the latest record, is 42 lakhs, and the average is 16.5 lakhs, with 50% of the batch falling above the average range. Placements: In my college, every student got a job with a good salary package. Packages like 40 LPA are high; this is the top role offered in our course, and 7 LPA is low, while 15 LPA is the average in our courses. Top recruiting companies like Symbiosis Technology, Wipro Limited, etc., offered jobs to 100% of students.
Placements: The course I opted for at IIM Visakhapatnam was PGP. The placement percentage was very good. Almost 100% of students got placed. Companies like Amazon and Flipkart visited the college for placements, offering roles such as financial manager. The highest package offered was 90 LPA, with an average package around 25 LPA. Almost every student gets an internship in their final year with good companies with proper stipends.
Placements: Students become eligible for placements right from the 4th Term. Around 180-190 companies visited the campus for placements last year The highest package offered was around 32 Lacs per annum and the average package was around 16 Lacs per annum. Yes, IIM Visakhapatanam does provide scholarship aid to its students who wants to avail it. The scholarship are merit based.
