So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

As per the elgibility criteria released by the IITs, It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility. However, many institutes admit students on the basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12.

IIT Bhilai released it's round 1 cutoff for 2025. As per the cutoff released, the closing ranks varied between 523 and 613. The cutoff was released for MSc in Chemisty, MSc in Mathematics and Computing, and M.Sc. in Physics. For the aforementioned specialisations, the closing ranks were 613, 523 and 566, among the General AI category candidates. The cutoff was also released for other categories such as OBC and SC, for which the cutoff can be checked on this page.
IIT Bhilai JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the various BTech course specialisations. The cutoff was released for all rounds for the students under the All India quota.
For the General AI category, the closing rank was 7382 in the last round. On the other hand, for the OBC AI category, the last round cutoff rank was 2832. Comparing both these ranks, we can see that the competition for the General AI category is lower in the last round than the OBC AI category.

The NTA will administer the JEE Main 2026 test in two sessions. JEE Main 2026 application form session 1 is now available. Because the exam will be given twice, the NTA will issue a different application form for the April sessions. According to the timetable, the Joint Entrance Main Exam 2026 will be held in two sessions: JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held between January 21 to 30, 2026 and JEE Main Session 2 Exam 2026 will be held between April 2 - April 9, 2026.
The last date for the GATE 2024 registration was October 20 with late fees. The last date for GATE 2024 registration without late fees was October 12. GATE 2024 application form was available online on the IISc Bangalore official website. GATE 2024 registration link is gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The registration window opened on August 30, 2023. Candidates can apply for the GATE exam until the last date. Before filling out the GATE application form, it is advisable for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria. No, admission to MTech at IIT Bhilai is not possible without GATE. Based on their ranks, candidates will be allocated seats and branch accordingly. Those who get a good rank in GATE can register for COAP Counselling.
However, for admission to MTech (Bio-Engineering) branch, candidates can apply via GPAT scores. These candidates will be exempted from appearing for GATE.
To apply for IIT Bhilai BTech course, you have to register for JEE Main at NTA website. The exam is conducted in two sessions. You may apply for either of the session by paying INR 1,000 (for boys) and INR 800 (for girls) as application fees.
