Step 1: IIT Bhilai MTech Application Process 2024

To get admission to the MTech at IIT Bhilai, students need to qualify for the GATE entrance exam. Students can apply for GATE by visiting its official website. After qualifying for the GATE exam, students must have registered on the COAP portal (gate.iitk.ac.in) before filling up the application form in the online admission portal of IIT Bhilai.

IIT Bhilai MTech Admission 2024: Important Documents

The documents required at the time of admission or the GATE application process are as follows:

• Aadhaar Card
• Entrance exam scorecard
• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet
• UG marksheet and pass certificate
• No Objection Certificate from current employer (for a sponsored category)
• Proof of payment of the application fee
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Proof of income (in the case of EWS candidates)

Step 2: Entrance Exams

After filling out the GATE application form, candidates need to first appear for the GATE entrance exam. Candidates will be shortlisted based on GATE scores and past academic records. Aspirants qualifying for all the selection rounds are required to register for COAP Counselling.

Step 3: COAP Counselling & Seat Allotment

IIT Bhilai offers scholarships for both of its UG & PG courses. The IIT Bhilai MTech scholarships are granted based on students' merit, their category and, parental income. Candidates must meet the basic eligibility requirements to avail the scholarship facility. IIT Bhilai offers scholarships in mainly three categories. The key highlights for all the scholarship categories are as follows:

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Available only to undergraduate students in UR and OBC categories. Students must get a minimum CGPA of 6.0 to avail the benefits of the scholarship.
• Institute SC/ ST Scholarship: All undergraduate students in SC and ST categories are included. The parental income of candidates must not exceed INR 4.5 LPA.
• Institute Free Studentship Scholarship: Only 10% of students from UG courses can apply for the grant of Free Studentship. Their parental income must not exceed 5 LPA for General students and INR 6 LPA for OBC Students.
