IIT Ropar PhD Highlights & Eligibility 2024

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar offers MTech, MSc and MS by research at the postgraduate level. Admission to MS by Research are offered on the basis of GATE score.

IIT Ropar PhD Admission 2023

IIT Ropar offers PhD in four different modes: Regular, Direct, External and Part-time. GATE / CSIR NET/ UGC NET or DBT qualified candidates will get preference at the time of admission.

Specialisation	Eligibility Criteria	Selection Process
Chemical Engineering	For Regular mode: ME/MTech with at least CGPA 6.5 out of 10 or 60% marks in aggregate from institute or university. For External mode: Candidates must complete ME/MTech with 60% marks and work experience of minimum 2year from a relevant field. For Direct mode: Candidates must complete BE/BTech with at least 8 out of 10 CGPA For Part-Time Mode: Candidates should have passed ME/MTech with 60% marks. Additionally, work experience of minimum 2 years in the related discipline	An entrance test followed by an interview. GATE/ CSIR/ UGC or DBT passed out candidates can also apply
