The IIT Ropar campus also has a huge sports complex catering to the holistic development of the students. IIT Ropar Hostel Facility
IIT Ropar has eight hostels, six for boys (Satlej, Beas, Sindhu, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune) and two for girls (Ravi, Venus) to house approximately 3000 students. IIT Ropar is a residential institute; therefore, all the students are required to reside in the hostels. All the hostel rooms are spacious and have all the basic furniture, such as a study table, chair, cupboard, single bed, etc. The rooms are allocated on a single and double occupancy basis. IIT Ropar hostels consist of dedicated rooms for recreational activities, providing a holistic environment for the students. It also has a common dining area for socialising with friends over food. All the hostels have water coolers and RO systems. Inside the hostel campus, there are four shops to supply the basic needs of the residents. IIT Ropar hostels are managed by a warden who is responsible for the smooth running and for maintaining the rules and regulations of the hostels.
For providing healthy and hygienic food, the institute has a mess facility for the students. The IIT Ropar mess is very spacious with an air-conditioned dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, a cold storage room and a storage room. IIT Ropar Library
The Nalanda Library of IIT Ropar acts as a knowledge hub for academic and research purposes. It has a vast collection of books, journals, theses, etc. Apart from books of study and reading material prescribed for courses, the library has a collection of research monographs, reports, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, etc. The library facilitates access to over 13,000 electronic journals from 30 publishers through its participation in the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative by the Government of India. The library is well furnished with comfortable tables and chairs, which are suitable for long working hours. The IIT Ropar library is automated using the Koha Integrated Library Management System. The library is operational all seven days in a week except a few national holidays. All library spaces are open from 08:00 am to 02:00 am, and Stack & Reading Area 2 is open from 02:00 am to 08:00 am.

The IIT Ropar campus caters to the sports needs of students. It has a cricket ground, football ground, hockey ground, badminton court, basketball court, and tennis court for outdoor activities. Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facilities throughout the 500 acres of campus area and also LAN facilities in the hostel rooms. The common rooms in all the hostels provide facilities like gym, television, and sports equipment. Some hostels also have a snooker table in the common area. Infrastructure: The hostel and the mess were decent. We had Wi-Fi in the classrooms, and you can easily access the LAN from your room in the hostel. Everything you need was right on campus. The classrooms were spacious and had projectors, which was nice. A big stadium for cricket and football, not to mention an indoor stadium for badminton.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was practical, with solid facilities for both sports and academics. You can always plug into a LAN port for unlimited public Ethernet. The campus was buzzing with organized events, and the various clubs really enhance diversity and opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: As there is limited access provided to students for using the laboratories, students are asked to pay a breakage fee even if they are not involved in any such incidents. Also, the classrooms are air-ventilated and equipped with water and other teaching facilities.
Infrastructure: Everything is great up to date equipments. Hostels are great as the building was made in 2019 itself so its very new. Food quality is average. Sometimes food is bad so we just go to cafeteria to eat. There is no problem in Wi-Fi. Library is open 24X7. Medical facilities and games are good.
Infrastructure: The metallurgical and materials engineering department is in Hargobind Khurana block (SAB). We have hi-tech labs with equipment like SEM, TEM, XRD, other microscopes, and other devices. We have full air conditioning and Wi-Fi network classrooms. We have 4 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. We have a sports complex which has cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, tennis, basketball grounds, and gym also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is great, design is inspired by foreign colleges like MIT. The course infrastructure is not that great students deal with multiple issue during their courses and it is difficult to cope up with your batchmates still it is still doable.
Infrastructure: IIT Ropar provides good Wi-Fi, good labs, big classrooms, and a small library. Facilities at my hostel are good, but we don't have a balcony, and the room is too small for two students. The mess food is good sometimes and very bad at other times. The sports facilities are also very good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is imposing, as we are one of the new-generation IITs. The infrastructure is maintained well by the authorities, and every year, lacs of rupees are spent to renovate the infrastructure. The hostel rooms are also well-maintained.
Infrastructure: The classrooms here are good, with air conditioning and comfortable seating. The labs are well-equipped with modern equipment, and the institute has a strong ranking in research. There is Wi-Fi available in classrooms, labs, the library, and all hostels, except for the newly built ones. The library is spacious and has many amazing books to explore and read.

These are inspired by the Ancient Indus Valley Civilization. The other one is our Super Academics Building (SAB). It's outstanding. We have all types of sports facilities ranging from indoor to outdoor. We have gym facilities and a common room (having TV) at each Hostel. Hostel facilities are also good. Hostel life is the best part of College life.
