IIT Ropar BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
IIT Ropar BTech is an undergraduate Engineering course. This course runs for a duration of four years. Moreover, under this programme, the institute offers specilaisations like B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. You need to pass class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or ranking in top 20 percentile of their respective board.
IIT Ropar BTech admission is based on JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Moreover, students must take part in the JoSAA counselling process. IIT Ropar BTech admisison is based on JEE Mains, it begins in October/November of the year preceding the admission year. Students are required to appear for JEE Advanced and JoSAA counselling. IIT Ropar admission process for BTech starts with JEE (Main) registration. Those who clear JEE Mains examination must appear for JEE Advanced also. After this, JoSAA manages seat allocation and counselling procedures.
1- IIT Ropar BTech Application Process
