IIT Gandhinagar PhD Eligibility & Highlights 2024
IIT Gandhinagar offers a PhD course at the doctoral level in 13 specialisations. Apart from regular PhD, the institute also offers Start Early PhD. Offered in regular and continuing doctoral programme (CDP) mode, admission to PhD and Start Early PhD course is based on an interview supplemented by a written test, if necessary.
Admission is generally open towards the beginning and end of each academic year. In addition to the announced admission cycles with a prescribed deadline of application, the institute also considers applications for any time of the year for exceptional candidates. Based on the qualifications of the candidates and the need for the specialisation, applications received are processed via duly constituted selection committees at regular intervals. IIT Gandhinagar PhD Application Process 2024
Candidates seeking admission to IIT Gandhinagar for PhD must apply online on the official website. Those looking forward to applying for more than one discipline must submit a separate application for each discipline. After the successful submission of the application form, students receive an application number and a link to download the application form. It must be saved, filled and shared as a hard copy along with the self-attested copies of all the relevant documents during the interview.
- The application fee is INR 150 for SC/ ST/ PD categories and INR 300 for other categories.
- There is no application fee for Start Early PhD.
