IIMC Jammu Highlights 2025
The Indian Institute of Mass Communication Jammu (also known as IIMC Jammu), was set-up as the Northern Regional Centre of IIMC at Jammu in 2012 to extend its national footprint. The institute began operating out of Vikas Bhawan at Railhead Complex with a seat intake of 15 students in the first batch. IIMC Jammu offers hostel facilities for its students and a guesthouse (for visiting faculty) which is situated in Gandhi Nagar.
As of now, the institute only offers one course, namely Online PG Diploma in English Journalism. IIMC Jammu will be located in approximately 15 acres of campus in Bantalab area of Jammu after the construction of its permanent campus. Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the campus in 2019. The permanent campus will have an administrative block, separate hostel for boys and girls and its faculty quarters.
