Honest review of Indira Gandhi Engineering College.
Placements: For placement, only some companies visit Indira Gandhi Engineering College; for more opportunities, you have to be in the top 10% in your batch. These students are sent to Rajiv Gandhi University for the placement. The average package in Indira Gandhi Engineering College is 5-6 lakh per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good. But for the first year, the building infrastructure is very poor but for the rest of the three years, infrastructure is very good. The hostel is also okay; you can visit once before taking admission in the college. Mess food in the hostel is also good.
Faculty: The course that Indira Gandhi Engineering College follows is of Rajiv Gandhi University Bhopal. Every semester has 5 subjects and each subject has 1 assignment, 1 practical, and 1 project. It's common in almost all the colleges. 30 marks are for project practical and assignment and 70 marks are for theory.

A honest review of IGEC, a government college that is affordable.
Placements: Honestly, this college does not provide many placement opportunities. You cannot depend solely on the college for placement; you have to go for open campus drives and search for opportunities outside the college. From the college, you can expect an average package of 3-4 lakh.
Infrastructure: This college offers a total of five branches: IT, ME, CE, EC, and EE. The top branch is IT. The infrastructure of the college is quite good, but all the college buildings are old. The hostels are affordable, with three girls sharing one room, and food is also included in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are good enough to teach college subjects, but they do not cover any specializations. The course curriculum is solid, but you have to learn by yourself. Please do not depend only on teachers. Semester exams are somewhat tough, but if you study on your own, you can easily pass.
Other: This college is affordable, as the fee structure is very reasonable. Since it is a government college, you can take admission here. However, after admission, don’t depend on the college; focus on your skills, learn some special programming languages and DSA concepts, and go for open campus opportunities.

A Life of a student in IGEC .
Placements: In this college the highest package is 9LPA and the average package is 4-5LPA. But you have to apply for off-campus also because college does not provide so many opportunities. You need to do an internship by yourself so that you can get a good package.
Infrastructure: The college's main buildings were old. There were no new buildings. But the classrooms were nice. And also the Labs are good. Specially Out IT department was especially good. I live outside PG but hostels are quite good I don't know much. But you can adopt hostels.
Faculty: Yaaa! Teachers are nice and they taught so well. But as we know if you are doing engineering you need to learn all the things by yourself. But faculty are good in my department. And exams are conducted as per the rule of RGPV. Exams are not so tough but not so easy. If you study well you can easily clear.
Other: If you want to do B.Tech from a government college in which fee is less then you can take this college. Because fee was very less. SC, ST and OBC students got scholarships also. So this is a good thing in this college.

Good placement in 2015: all students are performing well, and facilities are good.
Placements: This college student is very well placed in this college. This college student is in good marks, and the packages are also good. The highest package was 8 last year, and the lowest package was 3 last year. In this college, internships are provided by the best company.
Infrastructure: My college facilities are very good; all departments are good. My branch is information technology, which is the best branch in this college. Wi-Fi is available, and the lab is the best in all courses. Classrooms are used in projectors. My college's facilities are good, and the hostel is also good. Messes are best, and the contents are also good.
Faculty: My college teachers are helpful, and all teachers are highly experienced and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is the best, and all teachers have good experience. The semester exam is not difficult, easy to crack, and easy to score good marks in this college, but no study, no good marks in college.

Our college keeps improving well.
Placements: Around 69 students got placed on campus from our batch and many others got placed off campus. The highest salary package offered is 7.25 LPA. Top recruiters are Intellipat, Maventic, TCS, Argusoft, Globus, etc. Less internships are provided for 3rd-year students but all the final-year students get internships. The roles offered are tech based in various companies. Most of the students from the IT and EC branches got placed.
Infrastructure: Labs and the classrooms are well-equipped with smartboards but the computers are not in great condition which doesn't affect students much because they bring their laptops. Labs are air-conditioners and Wi-Fi connection. BMV boys' hostel can accommodate 140 students. It consists of 2 seater rooms and a girls' hostel is also available. Mess is available in both hostels. Sports and games are organised throughout the year. Students of our college get access to the library that issues needed books.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are great and supportive if needed. All the faculty members in the IT department are guest faculty members, and they are great and don't pressurise students much. Students should be ready to work hard because there is no proper guidance, but seniors are helpful. Semester exams are not tough, so students can easily pass them.
Other: Fests and events organised in our college are great. Official club is the next level that organises the events throughout the year. Students get much free time to pursue other things of their interests and seniors are supportive. Placements are increasing every year. Scholarships are provided to all SC, ST, and OBC students and there are many scholarships for general students.

The life at IGEC.
Placements: Placement in IT department is very good because many companies come in the campus for hiring the students. There are many companies like Byjus, Unacademy and other IT companies that visit the college for hiring.
Infrastructure: College life is very good. There are many labs in the IT department. Sports programmes are organised by hostel students. Inter branch cricket tournaments and inter branch football tournaments are also organised by the college. Hostel Life is nice. Mess food is average.
Faculty: Skill level of faculty is very nice in the campus. There are well qualified teachers in the college, especially in the IT department. My HOD teaches us always for being innovative and guides us for new projects.
