It's good for the students looking for any exam prep.

Placements: There are 90% placements from our branch. Good placements are done at TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and many other companies. Placement companies differ in every branch. Not all the branches have the same companies. According to that, placements are good. After Corona, due to some issues, placements were low, but now they are again good.

Infrastructure: It is a very good government college. In this fee structure, it costs very low compared to other colleges, and the infrastructure is also fairly good, not extraordinary, but good for a government college. Some buildings are newly made, while some are very old.

Faculty: The faculty is not that good, but it's okay. Heads of departments are better than the normal faculty members, and some guest faculty members are better than the permanent faculty members. Exams are very strict, and checking is also very strict for my branch, Computer Science.

Value of college money and good infrastructure.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in course is 50-60%. The highest package is approximately 10 LPA, and average package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, HCL, TCS, etc. The percentage of students get internships is approximately 20%. Roles offered is IT engineer.

Infrastructure: The facilities of course are good. Wi-Fi is available and classrooms are furnished. Library is present for self-study. Hostel facilities are good and it provide us with enough things. Food available is average. Medical facilities are very near, and sports ground is available for every game.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in nature, well qualified having Ph.D. degree in particular subject. They are very knowledgeable. Teaching quality is acceptable. This course curriculum is relevant. They make students industry ready with little effort. Semester exams are moderately easy to pass.

The placement rate is good here, value for money.

Placements: The placement rate for Computer Science last year was between 40% and 50%. The highest package offered at our college is 22 lakhs, while the average is 7 to 8 lakhs, and the minimum package is 3 lakhs. Top recruiting companies include Reliance, Wipro, L&T, and HCL, with 50% of students securing internships.

Infrastructure: The faculty and infrastructure are good. Wi-Fi is available in the department building, and there is a good library along with proper computer labs. The mess facilities offer average food in the hostel, and there are proper grounds available in the hostel for various sports. Medical facilities are located near the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and hold quality Ph.D. degrees. They provide ample knowledge to help students qualify for exams. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and students can pass them with regular daily study. The course curriculum is well-designed, making students industry-ready and relevant to current trends.

JEC is a good college in terms of education and return on investment of your cost.

Placements: Placements are not too good but also not negligible, at least 20-30% of students get placed every year. The highest package is 12 lacs and the average package could be 3-4 lacs per annum. The top recruitment is for CS and its branches. Top recruiters are L&T and Reliance.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty good considering the college was made in 1947 at the time of independence by Britishers so even now the condition is very good and the college environment is viable. There are facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, a canteen, and grounds for basketball and volleyball.

Faculty: The faculty is average and there are many guest faculty members that are temporary and the staff management is good but not too good. It is average, if you can manage to do things by yourself then faculty is not a big issue for you but if I personally had to judge it is average.

The aura of JEC College has decreased so much because of college placement and college.

Placements: The placement at the college is not as expected, and one of the reasons is the recession. But, the main reason is the college management. In 2023, the placement was only about 5-10%, and many students started preparing for government exams like GATE and CGL. As a result, there is not much of a coding culture in the college now. The new students are so confused about what to do, but after an average placement in 2024, some of them have shown interest in coding also.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average because of limited funding from the Madhya Pradesh state government. However, the college management has maintained the infrastructure well within the limited funds and resources. The college looks good because there is so much greenery on the campus.

Faculty: The college faculties are very supportive. They help you with everything according to your interests. You just have to respect professors, and they will help you with your studies so that you don't feel depressed. But, some ad hoc teachers are not that supportive.

Other: College life is typical of a state government college, but students manage and organize some events themselves. This year, a fest called Inertia was organized, which was very successful as the first fest of JEC College with less funding.

Candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Maths & Chemistry/ Biotech./ Biology/ Tech. Voc. subject/ Comp. Sc./ IT/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business studies as optional subjects with the above-mentioned aggregate percentage (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates (except Creamy layer) candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh) in subjects taken together. Candidates passed 10+2 with grading system, must have grades equi. to mentioned aggregate %. Candidates who had passed 10+2 with grace marks in any subject can also apply provided they have scored mentioned aggregate % excluding grace marks. Result awaited student are also eligible on provisional basis. OR Candidate who have passed Diploma in Engg. & Tech. examination with at least 45% masks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (excluding creamy layer) category of Madhya Pradesh) Subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission is through counselling based on the score obtained in Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (MP-PET) conducted by Vyapam, the Professional Examination Board of Madhya Pradesh.
