IGIDR is a hidden gem and the best in all aspects.
Placements: Every year, almost 100% of students get placed in known firms, including American Express, Tata, Citi, Accenture, IDFC Bank, Bandhan Bank, etc. This year, till now, around 90% of the batch got placed with the highest package of 23.4 LPA, and the lowest package is 14 LPA, and few firms are in line. In the case of internships, the scenario is the same. Almost 100% of the batch got either on-campus or off-campus internships in the areas of data analytics, AI, and research in known firms like Amex, Citi, Tata, Textile Ministry, and IIT Bombay.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best-in-class infrastructure. This is a completely resident institute, so they have a total of 4 buildings for M.Sc. and PhD as hostel. In 1st year, students share rooms, but in 2nd year, each and every M.Sc student has their own room with attached washrooms. Classrooms are so good and modern. It has a great library and recreation hall for sports, a garden, a free gym, and a good swimming pool. Wi-Fi is available everywhere in college. It has a great computer center room with newly installed computers. There is a single research block for each PhD student.
Faculty: The course curriculum here is quite mathematical and is on par with the top M.Sc. colleges in India like DSE and ISI. It has small batch sizes, so the classes become quite interactive and make students' and teachers' conversations easier. Teachers are so great and helpful (obviously not all, but mostly). The course is empirical and data-driven, so it gives students of IGIDR an edge in terms of skills as compared to the students of DSE or other colleges. Students from the first semester started to work on Python, Statistics, or R.
Other: This is a small campus having around 150 students only, so many find it a bit empty, but over time, when they make friends, IGIDR feels like heaven. It has beautiful people and a good climate.

It's an institute established by RBI. Value for money, curriculum, professors.
Placements: Placement is almost 80%. The highest package is around 18 Lacs, the lowest package is around 10 Lacs and the average goes around 15 Lacs per annum. Almost all the students get an internship in my course. Top recruiters are PWC, AMEX, Citi bank, ICICI Bank. Top roles offered are Analyst profile.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one of the best. No caveat in that. Amazing mess food, Hostels are luxurious. They are equivalent to hotel rooms. Fully facilitated with Wi-Fi in campus, library is amazing. Book collection is fabulous. Sports facilities for badminton, swimming, gym, basketball etc available.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified with the best colleges of the world. Faculty is amazing and humble at the same time. Develops friendly relation with time. The curriculum is very wisely designed to cover integrated theoretical and practical knowledge of the subject. Best research institute I have ever known with supporting staff, professors and helpful student community.

Other: IGIDR, Mumbai provides quality education to the Master's degree students in economics. The course structure is rigorous and mathematically intensive. What distinguishes IGIDR from the other post graduate institutes is the fact that along with theoretical knowledge, there is a strong emphasis and equal weightage to empirical learning which involves producing independent research work in every course. This breeds familiarity with both data sources as well as software such as SAS, Stata, R among others. The college prepares us well for a successful life in both corporate and academics. The most impressive aspect of studying in IGIDR is that it is truly a home away from home. It boasts of one of the best infrastructural facilities in the country with state of the art library, computer centre, gym and hostels. Comfort being ensured so that students can whole heartedly focus on their studies. The competition is intense and everybody aims to be one of the top rankers to get a chance to intern with RBI. The faculty-student ratio is excellent and the faculty members are extremely helpful and approachable outside classrooms as well. Overall, I am proud to have been a part of IGIDR.
