I am absolutely satisfied with curriculum, good placements, facilities, etc.
Placements: College is known for its good placements. More than 50 companies conducted campus recruitment this year. For CSE and IT renowned companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Ola, Oracle, etc., come for hiring talents. The average salary package for the CSE and IT departments is 3 to 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: It has three buildings namely Ashram, Gurukul, and Management building. It has basketball and badminton courts. Each building has a library and every class in the building is fully functional with digital classes. The full building is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel fees are Rs. 39,000 per semester but has to pay as a whole at a single time.
Faculty: Teachers are well supported but the curriculum of the college hours is very long. The course curriculum makes the students ready for the industry. Our faculty members are very good, highly qualified and helpful. Their way of teaching is very good, which helps to understand the topics very quickly. But there are some teachers whose lectures are a little bit boring.
Other: The college provides both cultural and technical fests which are vibrant. The main plus point is the college environment and infrastructure for the outside industry environment.

IEM is a good place for students to have better placements.
Placements: The placement scenario of IEM is fantastic. Almost 99% of the students were placed. All the packages offered were very good. The highest package offered was 20 LPA, and the average package can be 5 LPA. Many good companies visited our college. About 50% of the students got more than one job offer.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have much high-class infrastructure, but it has a very well organised infrastructure. The campus has 4 buildings, and all are well constructed. Two of them have indoor sports facilities for practice. A CCD is available with A/C facilities.
Faculty: Various courses are available in our college, like B.Tech, BBA, BCA and MBA. In B.Tech, there are CSE, IT, ECE, mechanical and electrical branches. Faculty members are well qualified and educated. Their way of teaching is awesome. The teacher-student coordination is the best.

IEM, the best private college in Kolkata for placements
Placements: This is the best private college in Kolkata for placements. We got almost all MNCs for placements. The placement was really good not only in our batch but also in other batches, which was almost 100%. Many top-level companies like TCS, Deloitte, NRI Fintech and Cognizant visited our college and recruited.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. We used to get computers for practical classes and each one of us can use it individually in labs. Not only that, classrooms are clean and well-maintained. The sports facility is not as good as expected. I did not face any infrastructure-related issue during my tenure.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members have a very calm behaviour and they are extremely helpful to the students. Some teachers try to take care of each student of their class. Remedial and doubt clearing classes are common. They teach by two-way communication with students. The teacher-student ratio is around 1:18 and the course is absolutely useful.

Highly satisfied for best faculty, best placements 2017 and very beautyfull and good infrastructure.
Placements: The placement offered by our college is very high. About 92% of the students got placed in many MNCs like Cognizant, Infosys, Abzooba, Sankalp Semiconductor, Wipro etc. In our batch of MTech, 2 out of 8 students got placed as remaining students opted out from placement for higher studies.
The placement in our college is the best since our college not only brings IT sectors but also CORE sectors for the student of ECE, EEE and EIE department students.
The highest package offered: 10 lakhs per annum.
The lowest package offered: 3 lakhs per annum.
The students have to give written test and technical interview for the selection process and the placement cell helped each and every student for acquiring the job.
Each student in average got 2 to 3 offer letters from different companies.
Infrastructure: Very high tech facilities are provided by our college. They provide free Wi-Fi for every student. Every class are digital which means teachers give lectures by presentations and gives notes to every student by mail. The students feel free to ask questions and every teacher appreciates the response in classes.
Our college also provides free classes to technology lover students and they are practically and theoretically motivated by our faculty members. The labs in our college are very large and for every student, there are respective PCs. They provide a very friendly technology for learning so that the students get to know the technology and subject very easily. For this reason, students get interested in learning new subjects and do research.
Sports: Our college provides a very big field for cricket, football etc. We also have a basketball court for those basketball players. We also have a room for carrom, table tennis etc where students learn new moves and techniques from sports teachers.
Games: Our college also motivates the students in playing computer games and every year, our college organises Counter Strike challenges as a competition.
CANTEEN : The most attractive place of Our college is the canteen. It is fully air conditioned and highly maintained . The quality of the food is very good and they provide free drinking mineral water . The canteen is also Wi-Fi zoned . The cost of the foods are very cheap .
Faculty: Most of the faculty members in our college are highly experienced. Most of the faculties are highly educated and have a great knowledge of understanding. They teach the students with presentations and a gives a deep learning on the subjects they teach. Our faculty members are very friendly in nature and help a lot in understanding the subject.
Most of the faculty members motivate the students for higher studies in the research field.
Our faculty have the direct link with the core industries like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Students having great knowledge get the chance to go to industries for the internship.
Most of our faculty members are very knowledgeable and helped us a lot in understanding the subjects.
Other: After studying in this college for 2 years, I felt that this is the best college I had ever read. From the classes, I had gathered a lot of knowledge about the practical implications of the subject and had learnt a lot practically and theoretically.

I am satisfied with placements but not satisfied with the campus and infrastructure.
Placements: Above 98% of students got placed in different IT companies. The highest salary package offered by Oracle is 19 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Around 500 students got pre-placement offers from Capgemini. Placements are not good in the core branch compared to IT. Many students got placements in the IT industry. Blue Star offered the highest salary package of 6.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. The hostel is not good. The quality of the food in the canteen is good. There is no playground in our college. Sports and games are not much appreciated in our college. Sports facilities are not good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is much sufficient to make us industry-ready. You have to learn some skills on your own. Semester exams are the same as in other colleges. Students have to study the night before exams to pass exams.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in physics. Our college conducts cricket and volleyball tournaments.

Placements: From both 2017 and 2018 batches, maximum students got placed in MNCs like TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, NRI Fintech, PWC, Ericsson, Wipro, Capgemini, etc. In the previous batch, the highest salary package offered in campus placements was 15.7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. All classrooms are fully equipped with modern technology, projectors facilities and CCTV cameras. All the labs are modern and are research-oriented. The campus was fully Wi-Fi enabled. Besides the college building, there was a playground with experience sports teacher.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and support us for our career and guides higher studies. They are experienced in teaching and have technical knowledge. Most of them have industry experience or research-oriented experience, and they conduct extra classes for teaching beyond the syllabus.

Yes, BTech course is available at IEM Kolkata. The university offers BTech courses at the UG level. The institute offers BTech, BBA, MCA, MBA, MBA (general), etc. courses at the UG and PG level. The basic eligibility criteria for admission are to complete Class 12 and graduation as per the course requirements. Students are selected based on merit/entrance-exam scores as per course requirement.
