IHM Shimla offers four courses at UG, PG and Diploma levels. The institute offers BSc, MSc, Diploma in Food Production and Diploma in Food and Beverage Service. IHM Shimla offers one and a half year Diploma in Food Production and Food & Beverage Service. Candidates need to complete Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as a compulsory subject to apply for IHM Shimla Diploma courses. There is no maximum age limit to apply for the Diploma programmes.

IHM Shimla has not specified the minimum marks to apply for admission to Diploma in Food Production. However, candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements as mentioned below:

• Pass Class 12 with English as a compulsory subject
• For General/ OBC and Physically Challenged/ Handicapped Category age of applicant should not be more than 25 years. For SC and ST Category age of the applicant should not be more than 28 years.

The Institute of Hotel Management, Shimla (IHM), offers a number of courses that are related to the hotel Management. Out of these couses, the Institute offers two UG Diploma courses. These are as follows. 

1. Diploma in Food Production. 

This course is offered for 35.15 thousand for a period of 18 months. 

2. Diploma in Food and Beverage Service 

This course is offered for 36.65 for a period of 18 months.

Candidates seeking admission to BSc HHA course of IHM Shimla must fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. The students who have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam pass and studied English as one of the subjects are eligible for admission. In addition, the age limit is 25 years for General/OBC and 28 years of the SC/ST candidates. 

At the time of admission, these documents have to be submitted for verification purposes as a proof of eligibility. The eligible students can further apply in online mode through the institutes' official website.c

The Institute of Hotel Management, Shimla offers a total number of 50 seats for the UG Diploma in Food and Beverage Services course.Therefore, 50 students can do UG Diploma in this Institute. The students must have completed their schooling and National Institute Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) JEE Exam inorder to be eligible for the course. Since the admissions are based on the seat availability, the students must secure the maximum marks and rank in the NCHMCT JEE Examination. 

Another Diploma course in Food Production is offered by the institute, but there is no information about the seat availability for this particular course. Therefore, we are taking only the food and Beverage Services course into account for the number of students who can do the UG Diploma at the Institute of Hotel Management, shimla.  

IHM Shimla cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1. As per the cutoff list, the closing rank for BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration was 7905 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. The cutoff has been released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students under the AI quota. However, for other categories, the 2025 cutoff ranks have not been released for round 1. 

IHM Shimla admit candidates to its three-year BSc course based on scores of NCHM JEE exam. The entrance test is conduted by NTA. Aspirants who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board and studied English subject can apply. The application form can be filled out in online mode through the IHM Shimla official website. 

After the entrance examination, cutoff list is released by the authorities. Students who meet the cutoff criteria can participate in the counselling for seat allotment. Following which, IHM Shimla BSc fee can be paid for seat confirmation.
