The Nirma University Ahmedabad cutoff depends on National or State-level exam scores. To receive admission at Nirma University Gota students must appear for exams such as JEE Main,  CAT and GUJCET,  etc.. Students who meet the initial cutoff of these exams must also appear for the Personal Interview or Group Discussion rounds for final seat distribution.

As far as I know, direct admission is not possible, but not sure though. For admission in institute of technology, the university considers the JEE percentile or the GUJCET percentile. On the basis of the merit score of the student, he/she is alloted a branch. It then depends on the student whether he/she wants to accept the offered branch or wait and see if their branch gets upgraded.

I wish this will not happen to anyone. But if happen then there is a rule to conduct supplementary exam just after 15-20 days results are announced. And if student fails in that exam, then there will be another chance given to students likely extra 2 attempts. If they couldn't pass then University can take strict action against student.
