B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

Comprehensive review of Nirma University's chemical engineering.
Placements: Nirma University's Chemical Engineering has a typical batch size of 60 to 100 students. It offers a high 75 to 83 placement percentage with the highest package of 15 LPA and the lowest of 2 to 3 LPA, with a median of around 6 to 7 LPA. Top companies that come are L&T, Torrent Pharma, Reliance, TCS, Infosys, Adani Group, and Zydus Lifesciences. Around 65 to 75 percent of students had received internships from top companies like Reliance, TCS, Infosys, and Adani group. Top roles are process engineer, production engineer, R&D associate, research associate, quality control/assurance engineer, safety engineer, operations and plant engineer.
Infrastructure: The department provides excellent classroom, labs, and library facilities. It has a lush green infrastructure. No hostels are provided for B.Tech boys. The quality of food in the mess, canteen and medical facilities is absolutely great. Sports and games are also great, and they provide a lot of opportunities as well.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful and qualified, and the chemical engineering department is the only department that has all PhD faculty members with experience of over 5 to 10 years. The course is very relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Examinations are pretty difficult and are divided into three parts throughout this semester.
Other: This course provides expertise in the field of chemical engineering across India. A bit of relation on attendance would make it even better. The events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, and surroundings are absolutely awesome.

Good campus life with decent academics and placement support.
Placements: Around 90% of the total students got placed in their course via the placement drive on the campus. The highest package offered was 95 LPA on LinkedIn. The lowest package was 3.5 LPA, and the average package was around 7.5 LPA, depending upon the company. Top recruitment IT companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and MAQ Software. Around 100% of the total students got an internship & job in IT companies.
Infrastructure: The department also offers good infrastructure. We have computer facilities, Wi-Fi, and smart classes. The library has useful resources and references for academics. Computer labs are also well-equipped with the latest computer systems to aid in programming. The hostel facilities are also good. The medical and sports facilities are very useful.
Faculty: Most faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable. They are helpful towards students. The teaching is good, and the faculty members are also encouraging for learning. The curriculum is good, and it includes all the important topics that are required in the IT and Software industry, so students can learn the basics in this area along with their projects. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and the questions are mainly from the taught syllabus only. Any student can pass with regular studies, and the pass percentage is around 95%.
Other: I opted for CSE because I am interested in programming, software and technologies. The best things are practical labs, technical subjects and project works, which help enhance problem-solving skills. The course could be better if more industry exposure, technologies and practical training are included. The college provides technical events, cultural fests and extracurricular activities, which make the college experience more interesting.

Good infrastructure, pretty decent faculty members, and pretty decent placements.
Placements: Top companies include Google and Microsoft. The highest placements go around 95 LPA, around 95 percent of students are placed, the lowest package is around 8 LPA, and the university stands in the NIRF ranking band of 100-150. The majority of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed is average, classrooms have good infrastructure, the library has a very good infrastructure and environment with many books, as it is a five-floor library, food quality is good, along with playgrounds like a basketball court, football ground, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, some teach very well, some don't. The course curriculum is relevant, and the university aims to make students industry-ready. Exams are fairly difficult, though a very small number of people fail with a good pass percentage. Some faculty are good, some are average.
Other: I did pursue my course as I was a bit interested in CSE, along with good placements of Nirma University, events happen pretty frequently, in which some are good, some are average, the crowd is pretty decent and good, campus surroundings are good.

Great private college for B.Tech.
Placements: I am still in my second year of mechanical engineering, but I know a bit about this year's placements. Our sir told us that this year, only a few students got placed with a maximum package of about 15 LPA in mechanical engineering. It seemed as if the students were only able to answer theoretical questions and not real-life application problems. Because studying here is very monotonous and boring. The placements this year were fewer than last year.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, Nirma is top-notch. They have a class with AC in some blocks and a spacious place. We have a good football and cricket ground. Basketball courts and volleyball courts are also there. There is a 5-storey library on campus, which is the best place to study during exams, and even though it is big, it is silent. There are many books from all departments and topics. We have 4 canteens with great food and great service. 2 of them close at about 4-6 pm, and the other 2 stay till 10 pm. The hostel mess also includes great food.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, but they aren't able to teach us in a simple way. All we do is just theoretical learning, which won't get us far in future. The curriculum is relevant because I am currently doing an internship, and my course has taught me a lot. The exams are pretty easy, they just ask simple questions from the class notes and the PPTs they give. The pass percentage is 40% in all exams.
Other: I chose the course as I wanted to pursue my father's business, and it included knowledge from this course. I chose this college because it is the best private college for this course in Gujarat. In my course, I would like them to improve hands-on exercise and real-life problem solving, which helps us tackle the same in future. There are many events, especially in even semesters. The campus crowd is decent, as people are friendly and cool here, including seniors. They also host many sports events, creative events, etc.

Students life at Nirma University.
Placements: Mostly 95 percent of students are placed in campus placements. Some students choose to pursue a master’s degree for further studies. The highest package is 80 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package offered is 8 LPA. Companies that frequently hire students on campus include Infosys, TCS, JPMC, Oracle, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The campus is surrounded by greenery. The architecture of the buildings is modern, with Wi-Fi, AC classrooms, and projectors. The classroom design is awesome. The library is modern and has six floors. The hostel facility is good. Multiple sports grounds, meetup places, and two or three canteens are available for students to relax and socialize.
Faculty: Most of the faculty have a PhD degree. Faculty help students in both the theory and practical sections, as well as in solving live problems. The course curriculum is updated as per industry requirements, and the college also organizes industry visits every year. The semester exams are moderate to hard, and almost 95 percent of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because it focuses on cybersecurity. They use logic and mathematics. I want to increase the practical and assignment portions instead of theory. There are also many clubs, scholarships, and extracurricular activities available at the university.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2028

There are decent placements and good infrastructure in the Electrical Engineering course.
Placements: In Electrical Engineering, placements have been great so far. The average package offered ranges from around 5-7 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA, and the highest package offered is 12 LPA, with a wide variety of companies. The top recruiters for electrical engineering are Siemens, Torrent Power, and Schneider.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms have a projector, a blackboard, and Wi-Fi facilities. We don't have AC in our classrooms. The newly built 5-floor library is highly modern and well-equipped with all modern facilities. Food quality and medical facilities are decent. Sports culture is lacking in Nirma, with common sports like Cricket and Football being mostly played.
Faculty: Teaching quality is decent. Most teachers have experience of more than 5 years and have a specialisation in a certain field. The course curriculum is very relevant in my opinion. We also have 4 technical and 2 non-technical courses each semester. The course, including lab lectures, makes students industry-ready. Exams are moderately difficult. Around 70-80 percent of students pass each semester.
Other: I chose this course as I had an interest in physics, especially electrical engineering. The best things about this course are the application of theoretical teaching to lab work. There could be more focus on labs and individual understanding for a student. We have one event every even semester for B.Tech, and it is the main event that is conducted. Only Nirma University students are allowed to attend it.
