FPM ( Fellow Programme In Management) is a doctoral-level programme offered by IMI Delhi. The course covers a duration of four years. The eligibility criteria is to have a first class score in Master's degree. The admission procedure plays a crucial role, which is two step process:
- The candidate has to submit an admission form with Relevant Documents and Research Proposal
- The final step includes shortlisting of the candidates on the basis of research proposal and evaluation of past academic performance for presentation followed by a personal interview for final selection.
The total tuition fee for IMI Delhi FPM course is INR 7.87 Lacs as per an unofficial source. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. The participants pursuing FPM course are awarded tuition fee waiver. A 100% waiver of fee throughout the duration of programme. Apart from the course fee, candidates need to pay a registration fee in the start of the admission process.

- The obtained qualification is from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE.
- In case the candidate has a PGDM degree from an Indian Institution, the degree must be recognized as equivalent to MBA by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or approved by AICTE.
- The degrees of candidates from foreign universities must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Fellow Programme in Management at IMI Delhi Admission Process
- Written TestThe applicant needs to complete the FPM application form. The form must be accompanied by an abstract of 1000-1500 words about the proposed research area/topic. This may be broad based at this juncture but is critical for gauging the applicant’s interest.
- Entrance Testthe candidate must clear any of the following tests Common Admission Test (CAT) held by the IIMs. Additionally, in case the candidate has a valid GMAT/GRE/XAT/NET score; he/she would also be eligible. Please note: the CAT/XAT/GMAT/GRE/NET exam must have been taken on or after 01 January 2018 will be considered valid for admission to the session of 2022. OR IMI Research Aptitude test: In the event the applicant has not appeared for any of the above exams, the Institute also considers candidates who appear for the IMI Research Aptitude Test. NRIs and foreign candidates, are also required to have a valid CAT/GMAT/GRE/XAT/NET score or appear for the IMI Research Aptitude Test.
- Personal InterviewBased on the: o Research abstract o Scores obtained in CAT/GMAT/GRE/XAT/NET or the IMI Research Aptitude Test o Evaluation of past academic performance and o Relevant work experience (for Part-time students only) The eligible candidates are invited for the final Admission Interview round and the final selection/merit list is prepared based on the above process.
