B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2024

Review about placement & infrastructure .
Placements: HOD is helping to get internships in Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Cisco, and many other industries. Projects and startups like Kabadiwala.com and many startups are run with the help of HODs and the dean of our college. Students are eligible for placement after the 5th semester. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Airtel, and many service-based companies. The highest package is 1.12 crores, and the average is 3.5 lakhs. A minimum of 70% of students are doing Masters.
Infrastructure: TechFest is organized by the college, in which 50+ competitions are managed. 20,000 books are available in the library. Every class has projectors, so teachers easily teach you by projectors. Sports activities are not good in the college. No, there is no impact on student life.
Faculty: Faculty are at minimum 5 years of experience. Their way of talking was professional; they provided us guidance and a learning path for placements and opportunities; their behavior toward the students is very humble. The curriculum is good according to the RGPV syllabus. Teachers are not very active during lab time. The college needs to improve in this area for more productivity in the labs. The frequency of exams for timing are on time and medium-difficulty level of the exam.

Infrastructure & campus life are also better than other colleges.
Placements: Students become eligible after 3rd year because a company started coming after 3rd year so we can sit in the placements. Minimum 60% is required in the 10th and 12th to sit in the campus placements because they are the minimum, which is a minimum criteria of the company. Second, you should have a great knowledge of what you have learnt throughout your academic curricular.
Infrastructure: There is an annual function held every year at the end of the semester that students can enjoy. In the library, multiple books related to the course and do the box related to their branch are available, and the facility and technology provisions within the classroom are that they are used to digital technique to teach the students, and as the ground is very large on this campus, they provide every sport and the request a curricular activity offered on this campus and their multiple clubs, which are environment club social.
Faculty: There are 2 faculty for every subject, and they all are qualified Ph.D. graduates. They use the heuristic method of teaching. We can easily approach the faculty members during the class or in the free time; they are ready to help and support in every way possible. Computer science is a vast and growing field, so I chose this because I have an interest in computers. Here we get to learn each and every thing from scratch so that we can compete with the real world. We should have started practicing each and everything that has been taught to us so that we can improve.
Other: The tuition fee is 60000 per year, and I can be less for people having domicile in Madhya Pradesh. The total tuition fee is 240000 which includes bus service as well. Several scholarships are available here if the person is domiciled in Madhya Pradesh, then they can get a tuition fee waiver.

This college is not good in terms of placement packages.
Placements: JNCT is the college of the INCT group, INCT main college is the best private college in Bhopal. Present placement in main college placement is centralized but JNCT student has less opportunity and a low package also in comparison to INCT student, JNCT placements are about 70%. Many students were placed in the low package like 1 LPA to 3.5 LPA, and some students were placed in the package of 3.5 LPA to 5.5 LPA. Very few students got above 6 LPA packages from college placement. The average package is 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are no good facilities, there is no good teaching staff. Labs are average. There are no good sports facilities and no scope for sports. The mess, canteen, and hostel are costly but not value for money. There are no medical facilities and the food is not tasty.
Faculty: As per RGPV 75% attendance is mandatory, and teacher is average. Some teachers are good experienced but many teachers have no experience they are freshers in the teaching field. They cannot explain everything and are not able to solve every problem of the student.

Review of Jai Narain college of Technology.
Placements: During my tenure, almost 40-50% of students got placed from our batch. The lowest salary provided by BPO company was Rs. 22,000 per month, and it increases up to 11 LPA, which is offered by Elite IT company. Cognizant is the top recruiting company. The programmer is the top role offered to students. Internships were not provided through the college during my tenure.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure during my tenure was very good. There are various labs and equipment. The Wi-Fi zone is not provided as free. The hostel facilities are not that good. The quality of the food served in the mess is also very unhygienic. Medical treatment and relief are also in very poor condition. They allow us to go outside of the campus for shopping.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college were not that well-trained and knowledgeable. But HOD's were having the best knowledge of their teaching. The course curriculum is not relevant as the syllabus is not updated. The syllabus of the university needs to be changed so that we can improve the engineering courses.
Other: My stream was electrical and electronics, which is the core branch. I wish that the course should be relevant and practical knowledge is the best. The course should be updated. Some small events were organised every Saturday. Apart from this, the annual function and other culture fest are also organised in our college.

This is a very good college for pursuing electrical engineering.
Placements: Placements are very essential for all graduates. I observed that JNCT, Bhopal has 100% placements percentage. I also got placed in Siemens, Mumbai and the role offered to me is in the testing and installation department. I will be joining the company in June 2019.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is very good and clean. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and its downloading speed is high. Labs are very essential for all electrical engineers because students will not get any knowledge without conducting practicals. The library and classrooms are very good. Sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are the gift of God. All the teachers are very helpful. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable about their subjects. Their teachings methods are very good, and students will not require any coaching classes to clear their doubts because the teachers are very good. An industrial visit is organised at the end of every semester for the students to get industry exposure.
Other: Events and fests conducted in our college are good. The campus crowd and surroundings are good. Campus connectivity is very good.

I am not very much satisfied from my college because of core placements and some laboratories.
Placements: As I was the student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering so the placement was not very good for our batch and senior batch. Mainly software companies came for placements such as Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, Cognizant etc. Some electrical companies also came such as Triveni turbines. In our batch only 60% students got placed because many software companies were allowing only CS/IT branch students to sit for the placement. The highest package offered was 4.40 lac per annum. The roles offered was Graduate Engineer Trainee for electrical companies and Systems Engineer, Associate Software Engineer for software companies. Some got internship from our batch. There is a placement cell. It is very much useful for CS/IT batch students as around 70% students got placed from Computer Science batch.
Infrastructure: Facilities were fine such as proper Wi-Fi connection was available. Classrooms were very well-equipped with projectors. Library was having books and magazines of new editions but more books need to be there. Medical facilities were good up to an extent. Sports and Games competitions were held in Technical fests on regular basis. Some laboratories were equipped with proper machines and some were not. Electrical machines laboratories was good. It was having all machines that has to be studied in the curriculum. Canteen was having a good infrastructure and the quality of food was also very good. When I was in my last year of college (2017) new hostel was constructed within the campus. In my first year of college I stayed in the college hostel which was near to the railway station. It was having good infrastructure. I faced infrastructure related issue during my tenure at the college as some laboratories as I have discussed were not very well-equipped with modern machines.
Faculty: The faculty members in the college were very helpful. They used to help in every way which was really appreciable. Teaching methodology was good for some faculty members but not for all. Teaching methodologies used were classroom teaching followed by practicals in the laboratories. Student to faculty ratio was 10:1. I got industry exposure in the 6th semester when there was industrial training. I took training in Madhya Pradesh Electricity board. Engineering curriculum was not up to the mark as the curriculum has not been revised from several years by the university. The curriculum has not put more stress on practical training rather than theoretical knowledge. I think that curriculum has to be revised by the university in the recent years.
Other: Technical fests are being organised on regular basis in the college level and state level. Sports and cultural events are also organised. Campus has not too much crowd. Buses are available for better connectivity to the college. Scholarship is being rewarded to the meritorious students who perform well in the university examinations. In my batch some students have got scholarship based on merit. Extracurricular activities are held for all around development of the students and to know the hidden talent. Some activities which take place are paper presentation, technical projects etc.

JNCT at a glance 4 years of journey.
Placements: Placement was not so good till 2015. False placement cell was organised during 2015. But later it was improved under the guidence of Anuj garg. For a secure campus selection college also organise classes for the student for participating in campus drive which helps students.
Infrastructure: College campus is good. One will get almost all the facilities what he or she os looking for. Jnct is a Wi-Fi zone. One will get separate lab for each subject which comes through your degree course. Garden and grounds are there for the positive atmosphere. Canteen service is also there. And many such thing will attract you.
Faculty: There are some senior faculty members in each department who are good enough with their knowledge. But junior professors dosenot stands with the students satisfaction. Student have to study and understand most of the subject by themselves. Or by means of shivani which is a hand book. Bt for practical knowledge of one. Neither professors nor shivani is good enough.

Good infrastructure and amazing placement opportunities, lack in extracurricular activity.
Placements: JNCT is a branch of LNCT groups and has 70% of the placement record but mostly for the IT companies like CTS, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, LNT, Tech Mahindra, etc. The college has a specific team for the placement, and they organise sessions for preparing the students for the placement. Overall, if I compare my college with other on the ground of placement, I would rate it good but not best.
Infrastructure: It has all the facilities required by the students to persuade studies. The college provides big classroom, transport facility is very good and cover not only the complete city but also provide transportation for nearby towns. The college has standard, and good lecturers, computer labs and library, auditorium, and the canteen facility was not up to date.
Faculty: JNCT is an engineering college and has all the BE courses including mechanical, electrical, electrical and electronics, IT, computer science, and Civil. JNCT is affiliated with RGPV university and follows the curriculum by Rajiv Gandhi Prodhyugic Vishwavidhyalaya.
Other: The college has no playgrounds available for the specific sports and lack of participation in the extracurricular activity. The college doesn't organise the technical fest every year but once a two year.
