Yes, IISER Bhopal accepts JEE score for admission. You can get admission in IISER Bhopal through JEE Main rank if you fulfill the eligibility criteria for the JEE advanced channel, which is to secure a JEE Advanced rank within 10,000. You also need to have 10+2 with a Science stream and Maths as one of the subjects. IISER Bhopal offers a BS-MS degree programme for four years. You can also apply for admission through KVPY and SCB channel.

The cutoff differs each year based on certain things. The IISER Bhopal offers three admission channels such as the SCB (STATE CENTRAL BOARD), KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana), and IIT JEE Advanced for admission to the BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) programmes. Based on the category rank list that is acquired from KVPY, a common rank list is generated for candidates who apply through the KVPY channel.  The top recruiters of IISER Bhopal are as follows - TCS, Union Bank, Deloitte,  Excel Instruments,  IDBI Bank (Industrial Development Bank of India),  Nurture.farm,  SBI (State Bank Of India), Atotech. Based on information provided by IISER Bhopal, Deloitte chose five final-year students for IISER Bhopal placements in 2022. Additionally, as part of the IISER Bhopal summer internships 2022, a third-year BS student was chosen for a three-month summer internship at nuture.farm. In addition, four Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal students were chosen to participate in IISER internships in France in 2022. In addition, the median package offered during the IISER Bhopal BS and BS-MS placements in 2022 was INR 17.5 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA, respectively, according to the IISER Bhopal NIRF Report 2023

Earlier, there were three channels through which candidates could get admissions to the courses offered at IISER institutions, IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras. From the academic session 2025, admissions are done through the IAT exam channel only, and the other two channels, including JEE Main and KVPY scores, have been discontinued.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to IISER through IISER entrance exam. IISER Entrance exam is conducted by the institute for candidates seeking admission to the BS and Integrated BS specialisations. The cutoff is released category-wise for candidates belonging to the All India quota. For the General AI category candidates, the last round closing rank for all the specialisations are given in the table below:

The median package offered during BSc-MSc placements in 2022 increased by more than 18% in comparison to 2021.

Previously, five IISER Bhopal final-year students were chosen by Deloitte at IISER Bhopal placements 2022, according to data made public by IISER Bhopal. Additionally, as part of the IISER Bhopal summer internships 2022, a third-year BS student was chosen for a three-month summer internship at nuture.farm. In addition, four Indian Institute of Science Education & Research Bhopal students were chosen to participate in IISER internships in France in 2022.

The official announcement of the 2023 placement results is still pending. Previously, 13 of the 152 BSc grads were placed in 2022. In 2021, 3 BSc students were successfully placed out of 138 total. Thirteen BSc students were placed during IISER placements in 2022, according to the report. For BSc students, the median package was INR 11.40 LPA.

Since IISER Pune had 13 students selected for placement and IISER Bhopal has only 5 students. Therefore, IISER Pune offers better placements.

IISERs get generous funding as they come directly under the MHRD of the central Government. Both IISER Bhopal and IISER Pune have state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. 

• The labs, lecture halls, academic buildings, hostels, etc. are present at both the institutes. 
• IISER Bhopal has the largest campus among all IISERs. 
• IISRE have very good indoor - outdoor sports facilities as compared to other IISERs .These include football, Cricket, basketball, badminton, TT & Chess etc. 
• Community centers and Visitor’ hostels are also available.
• The whole campus is wifi enabled , library and labs have excellent wifi connection.
• IISRE has a self-sufficient campus with facilities like a shopping centre, health centre, bank, etc. all present on the campus itself so student does not need to worry to go outside.

Therefore, it is not appropriate to compare the IISERs as they all have their unique features and every college is best in its own aspects.
