June 24, 2024: The JIS Institute of Advanced Studies & Research was honored to invite Dr Rana Saha from the department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Tirupati for a lecture on “Quantum Materials for Chiral Spintronics” held on 5 th June 2024 was really enlightening in order to showcase the latest development in quantum material development.
In his lecture, Dr. Rana Saha enlightened the participants on the fascinating topic, chirality and spintronics: the use of quantum materials in the future applications. Through his presentation, one could see his experience and comprehension since he explained numerous ideas and covered emerging developments in materials science.

JIS Institute of Advanced Studies & Research Explores Industrial Innovations at NICCO Engineering Services Limited
June 24, 2024: The postgraduate students, PhD research scholars, and faculties in the Department of Centre for Interdisciplinary Sciences (CIS), JIS Institute of Advanced Studies & Research (JISIASR) were able to achieve the objective of the first engagement by visiting NICCO Engineering Services Limited (NESL). This industrial exposure planned on 15th May 2024 was specifically intended to give the students a feel of the actual working and new-generation manufacturing facilities.
NESL offers online leakage sealing products of varied kinds and compositions for fabrication, applies Belzona protective coatings for protection, and also applies hi-tech technologies like Valtest and Spiral welding. Thus, the visit was informative to the participants given that they were availed with a clear view of such enhanced production practices together with the optimum management practices.
This visit can be considered as the first major milestone in the direction of NESL – JISIASR collaborations for the future targeted at systematic research endeavors in the themes of advanced material and its usefulness in different industries. They are all set to increase the pace of innovation and to help in addressing quite a few integrated issues in industries.
