A small information about my college (JNTU College of Engineering, Pulivendula).

Placements: My batch students are good in skill development and above average in grades. We have done internships in Wipro. My seniors got placed in Google and Amazon. Average package - 7 LPA. Least package - 5 LPA. The highest package - 30 LPA. Some of my seniors have started startup companies.

Infrastructure: My department is very good in infrastructure and also in lectures. It includes 5 labs used in various situations and 5 lecture rooms used for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and M.Tech students. Every lab has 60 systems and features 2 wall-fitted ACs and 8 fans. Every lecture room has a lecture dias, a 70-student seating capacity, 4 windows, and 4 fans.

Faculty: Faculty members are experts in teaching, and some of them are graduates from IITs. Exams are very planned before the academic year starts. The timetable is declared before the semester starts. Almost 85 percent of students pass every semester, and exams are very difficult compared to other colleges. But the lectures are good, so there's no need to worry.

Other: At present, Computer Science Engineering is a trending course, so I chose this course. It has big demand in industries. There are 5 department fests every year, a farewell for every passed-out batch, and my campus is good in environment and hygiene in food preparation, and it’s tasty.

The college of Pulivendula.

Placements: Okay, but there are no maximum placements; up to 25 percent were placed. The highest salary is 44 LPA, and the lowest salary is 3 LPA. Yes, the placement process is easy, and the competition is less. It's easy to get a job as every class has a single section of 75 students.

Infrastructure: Yes, our college has all facilities like hostels, sports ground and basketball court etc. Every class room has necessary needs and every department has their own laboratories. College has central library and also students canteen. All the places are clean and hygienic.

Faculty: I am studying Computer Science and Engineering. The quality of teaching is good. Yes, my circumstances are favorable and up-to-date; they provide good motivation for studying and upskilling oneself. I believe my college has made me a qualified person and has increased my employability skills and qualifications.

Other: The environment of the class needs to be changed to reflect the work culture in corporate life so that a more competitive spirit can be developed.

Friendly faculty environment, strict rules to follow, and management treat us like children.

Placements: Previously, we had so many placement offers. But presently, due to rejection period of all multi national companies, job opportunities are very limited. But previously, many students had more than 11 lacs per year. And the lowest package is 4 lacs per year. The top roles are those of bank managers. Airbus, IBM, etc. are the top recruiters.

Infrastructure: We have the fastest-speed Wi-Fi. And good/high-speed i5 systems for the lab. A large library with digital e-library support is there. There would be workers for cleaning. But the maintenance is a little bit poor. The quality of food will not be determined by administration. We have gym and rooms. Our college has large ground for outdoor games .

Faculty: The majority of the staff have Ph.D. and M.E. Most of the teaching faculty had completed M.Tech. Like every college, they only focus on the marks and percentages of students. They show interest in real-time problems. As per the course syllabus, they give their best. More than 85% of students will pass every semester without any backlogs. But the semester time period will be less than 4 months.

Other: I have an interest in computers and programming. Before joining, I learned many programming languages. I think I am able to improve my skills. But they realized that they were only following their rules and regulations. It is better to improve real-time problem-solving.

Absolutely dissatisfied with my college faculty.

Placements: Three years ago, placements at my college were 90 percent. But now placements are less than 10 percent. The highest package is 44 lacs, and the lowest is 3.2 lacs. Amazon is the top recruiter and web development is the top role offered. There are no special roles. The recruiting companies are also Oppo and some small companies.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average. The quality of food, canteen, medical, sports and games is also average. Wi-Fi is good, but the computer facility is poor and the faculty is also poor. Food quality is good for our money. Sports are average and not good. The clinic is also poor.

Faculty: The teaching quality is poor. The course curriculum is relevant, but the students are not industry-ready. Semester exams are medium and the pass percentage is above 97. Many teachers are temporary; only a few of them are permanent. Especially, we need improvement in faculty.

Other: I chose this course to become a software engineer. I need to improve in my course. Events, and fests are good.

Review of JNTUA College of Engineering, Pulivendula.

Placements: 60 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 17 lpa, and the lowest might be 2 lpa. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Cognizant and some other companies. There will be so many internships going on in the third year, for example, OPPO internships.

Infrastructure: The food is good, the hostel is maintained in some way, the hostel staff is very good and friendly and there are some facilities for poor students. For example, the mess bill will be so much less, which is an average of INR 2500 per month and there will be good facilities with good rooms. The canteen is good but the new canteen is still under construction.

Faculty: There will be 2 midterm examinations for every semester, and there will be a total of 8 sets for this course. The faculty teaches us real-life examples with good reach, but some placements are still to be done. The college faculty, especially for my course, are good and the curriculum is good.

Other: There will be unique identification given to each of the student and there are so many students studying in our college, especially our course, which is simply superb. Our college has so many activities like college days, sports day and fests are also conducted for every branch.
