B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2016
3.2
The truth of JRE School of Engineering.
Placements: The placement was good but we did not have any mass placements as such. Almost 70% students of my batch were placed, but the package for all of them was average with the exception of 1 or 2 students. We didn't have any big companies visiting our campus apart from 1 or 2 big companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was its greatest asset. Everything from classrooms to hostel rooms was great. All our classrooms were air-conditioned and had great furniture and ample space. The library is one of the best I have seen in any college. Labs were equipped and we had single rooms for the hostel. Tthe mess is good too, and apart from all this, we had a tennis court, a basketball court, cricket and football grounds too.
Faculty: The course curriculum was one of the weakest parts of our college and they have to improve on it. The faculty team now is not as per the standard most of the PG faculty members has left the college and only junior teachers are there. They put pressure on cramming rather than understanding.

Review of JRE Group of Institutions.
Placements: Fewer students get the opportunity to land in a high salary package, while the rest get the average package of 3-4 LPA. Some of the good companies are Zamil Infra, Black Rock and Indian Navy. The college authority takes the least interest in finding summer internship opportunities for students. Students have to try from their own end to get an internship and thus, only a few (2 to 3 percent) of the students get the internship. Then if you really want to get a job in the technical domain, well, it has the least probability. In summary, I would say that you can't really rely on college for your job or internship. You have to make your own way or you will just be jobless.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the only factor that sets this college apart from others in NCR region. Classrooms and library are spacious along with AC facility. The library has all the books related to our courses and it also maintains a digital library to access books from anywhere at anytime. Labs have all the instruments. The campus has a basketball court, a badminton court, a lawn tennis court and a football court. But the warden doesn't give the related sports equipment unless and until we approach him multiple times. The college authority, however, doesn't give much support to sports events. The food served is good and the hostel has single rooms which give every hosteller their personal space. Initially, every facility provided was good but gradually some facilities were seized like a lift on the campus as well as hostel stopped working from the past one year. Wi-Fi does not work most of the days and cleaning of hostel rooms, corridors and common areas became less frequent.
Faculty: Some faculty members are really worthy but the remaining barely know how to teach or interact with students. The faculty members hold multiple meetings and the result(plans) of those meetings are ought to help students, but alas, their plans are nothing but a sheer waste of time, energy and creativity of students. All they care about is the submission of assignments and practical reports. They have little interest in giving something of worth to students. The curriculum is old, like too old for this fast paced world. AKTU really needs to work on their curriculum so that the students can become employable. Some faculty members are supportive and it is because of these teachers that we are able to cope up with all sorts of issues.
Other: JRE is just another private college which gives very less as compared to the high amount of fees paid. The annual fest didn't even take place this year. Pros: Good infrastructure, good library and hostel facilities along with a few good faculty members. Cons: Average placements and below average internship opportunities. you will have to cope up with some narrow-minded college authority personnel.

Review of JRE Group of Institutions.
Placements: Placements are good in the college but not awesome. There is little support provided from their end and the rest students have to run. Some good companies like Zamil Infra, Black Rock etc visited our campus but there are just these 2-3 companies. Our seniors' placements were OK. The highest package till date is 13 LPA and the lowest is 2-3 LPA. Companies which visited for a technical profile are very less. Only 1-2% students got the internship from the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and there is so much of greenery in our college. There are a variety of flowers and there are fountains also. Our classrooms are also well-structured. Earlier there was a student activity area but now it is not used because there are no fun activities for students. Earlier, a Wi-Fi connection was very good but now students face problems there also. Student play basketball, football, badminton and cricket. The material is also available with the warden but they don't provide it easily. Medical facilities are not provided in the college. There is a first-aid kit with warden but they are not always available. If someone got ill they take them to the nearby hospital. The library is good.
Faculty: The course is not updated. Once the course was set and from so many years, that course is on repeat mode. It only gives us theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge is very less. Lab lectures are there but they are also not productive. Our faculty members are good. Some of them support also but some demotivate at the same time. Some of them have a vast knowledge of their domain which is very helpful to the students. Overall, the faculty team of our college is good.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: This college has a good placement record. The highest package so far was 11.6 LPA. The CRC looks after the placements of the students according to their skills set. Dabur, Zamil Infra, Black rock are some of the companies that visited the campus. The highest stipend offered to the student was 26000/- from RedHat Enterprise to a student who secured a DevOps job.
Infrastructure: Our college has got a very nice infrastructure. All the classrooms are fully air-conditioned. We've got Philip Kotler's library. There are numerous sports facilities available on the campus like basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, etc.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is very supportive. They are available in the working hours as well as after the college too for projects. They use both whiteboards as well as PowerPoint for their lectures. The college follows the course curriculum of AKTU (formerly UPTU).

Nice place to be at. Memories will always be there. I will miss my college.
Placements: Placements were okay, not up to the mark. Less than expected, yet most of the students are placed. They send us to pool campuses rather than calling companies to the college. It could have been better but it got worse after the placement officer left the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. It is a newly made college, only 4 years old. It is properly cleaned. It has a nice cricket ground, basketball field, badminton courts, table tennis, fully equipped computer labs (4 computer labs) , tennis ground, football field.
Faculty: The faculty is really helpful. Although the faculty is good, the management doesn't want to co-operate anyhow in any matter. The faculty is highly qualified and is very well aware of what the student whats to take from them. The faculty is nice and the college keeps hiring new faculty members for the betterment of the college.

It is not an excellent college. It is a UPTU college. More courses are yet to come in this college.
Placements: Placement of senior batch was good. Now it is not that good but companies come like Black Rock, Navy, Zamil Infra etc. There do not come many companies which offer job/internships in the technical field. PGDM - Dabur recruited some students in 2012-2013.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. All facilities are available from WiFi to good classrooms. Library and grounds are also very good. The infrastructure is the main attraction of the college. Hostel facilities are also very good. One can surely be fully satisfied with the infrastructure.
Faculty: Courses in this college are Btech and PGDM only. More courses are yet to come. In BTech, there are CS, EC, EE and IT. Few faculty members are very good but not all. They ensure that each and every student understands what they teach. The college has now hired a few new faculty members I hope it will soon be under the list of good colleges. For now, it is not that good.

Below average, not worthy of the heavy fee.
Placements: Our placement cell is established, however, apart from Blackrock and IndianNavy, not many companies visit for pool campus. The highest package was 13 LPA (to 2-3 students out of 400 students) and the lowest goes as low as 3 LPA, avg to be 4-5 LPA. Internship drives and no support related to it are provided from the college's end. The students have to struggle outside on their own. To add, a few faculty members give a kind of let back demotivating speech to the students regarding placements.
Infrastructure: College elevators are shut down since a year. Classrooms: Working ACs, plastic chairs, whiteboards, projectors (faculty and students don't make use of it generally). Library: Well stocked with latest magazines, journals, textbooks. Medical facilities: None. Labs: Standard PCs. Canteen: Serves maggi, parathas, milkshakes only, few counted FMGC items also present. Hostel rooms: Boys and girls hostel are in the same building! Decent space, study table, side table and a decent cupboard. 3 rooms with attached bathroom make up one common hostel room.
Faculty: We have a handful of academically sound faculty members who are keen on providing meaningful learning as well as cramming techniques. A few teachers will help you learn to code, if you co-operate with them, others will tell you to memorize the code. The course curriculum is not up to the mark as it should be for an engineering student, practical approach it lacking at many levels.
Other: The student crowd is poor, they don't uplift your curiosity, same goes for faculty members. However, a few teachers will guide you the level best and make sure you choose the correct track! Pros: 1. Great infrastructure, good Wi-Fi, hostel rooms privacy, greenery. 2. Well stocked library. 3. Helpful teachers (if you cling on to them, and be the teacher's pet) 4. Qualified and academically sound teachers. Cons: 1. Companies don't visit us. 2. Teachers demotivate with the comparison of other colleges generally. 3. Zero technical based learning, only cramming is laid emphasis on. 4. Attendance is the only weapon to scare students and get any work done. 5. Zero seminars/guest lectures conducted over past year. 6. Zero trips. 7. Excessive late joining fee (up to 500 rs a day!)

A review of JRE Group of Institutions.
Placements: Placement of JRE group of institutions was quiet good. They encouraged companies to invite students of JRE at their company. There were some issues like job was not relevant to the field of student who was studying. The jobs that the students were getting were related to non-technical, marketing and sales.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college was up to the mark. Classrooms were equipped with projectors and air conditioners. Library was digital and you can search book online and get a notice/reminder of due date time to time. The only disadvantage was the non-availability of book bank and a student can issue only 3 books at a time.
Faculty: Course was taught according to university syllabus. Besides that, they provide extra technical course and provide certification of IT. About faculty, they were quite good and highly educated, but some old faculty members were not good as they just want to pass their time.
