There is really good infrastructure and facilities at SNU.

Placements: The placement process is going on right now. Placements are average as the student count is low. Top recruiting companies for our course are HCL, Microsoft, Adobe, HPE, etc. The top role offered is SDE. 30-40 percent of students get internships from companies like Adobe and Microsoft. Other roles offered are data analyst.

Infrastructure: Facilities are top-notch, as compared to other colleges. The hostel experience is very good as hot water is provided. A pantry is also available. Wi-Fi is present all over the campus, which works excellently. The quality of food is excellent and is affordable. Apart from the mess, there are various other food stalls.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. They help and solve our doubts, which is excellent. The course content is relevant and is prepared for us to be prepared for real life. Semester exams are dependent on the specific course, but are easy if we have attended lectures.

It is a good college with good placements.

Placements: The college has overall good placements with almost all the students getting placed in good companies. Many students got placed between 10 to 17 LPA companies. The lowest package mostly remains at 6 LPA and an average of around 13 LPA. Companies like Microsoft and GS visit campus.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are fully AC, neat and clean, and also well-maintained. There is Wi-Fi all over the campus and the library has a 24/7 study room as well. The mess food has a variety of options and okayish quality of food. For sports, ISC is there which has all indoor sports facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members are great here for engineering branches. They are really helpful and guide students. Many students do research work under the pros. The course curriculum is of moderate level, not too easy not too hard. Quizzes and semester exams take place all over the semester.

Brutally honest review about SNU.

Placements: People above 7.5 CGPA are more likely to get placed. Most of the people who got placed are either good CGPA holders or like really pro-level coders. The highest package as of now is 50 LPA. The lowest salary is 7 LPA. Top recruitment companies are Brain and Company, HPE, Oracle, Chegg, Goldman Sachs, Go Daddy, JustPay, and Microsoft. Only 10% of the people got internships at Microsoft and Goldman Sachs. Top roles offered are analyst, associate tech consultant, and SWE.

Infrastructure: The department has well-equipped labs with great computers (serve too for research purposes) and 24X7 Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Hostels are decent. Hostel rooms are double occupancy and are spacious. The only issue is that the hot water doesn't come in the assigned period. Mess food is terrible. I mean other college students say our is better than their but still hostel food is just good enough to fill our belly. There are good medical facilities and sports facilities too.

Faculty: Only a few teachers are helpful to be honest not everyone is helpful. Teaching quality is as nice as it is in any other decent college. Curriculum is mostly relevant and quite helpful as per industry demand. Semester exams are honesty bit hard to pass. You need at least 30% to pass and most of the class passes except a few.

Other: I chose this course because I want to settle on the IT industry. Best thing about CSE is that one can explore a lot of fields as CSE isn't limited to a specific domain. It would be great if they complete courses like CAN and TOC by 2nd year. SNU has a ton of events, there's an annual fest, a sports fest, an intra-college fest, etc. The crowd is decent. The campus has great connectivity to Noida and Delhi through GT road. As of now the system of scholarships has been removed. There are a lot of extracurricular activities to participate in.

Curriculum

BTech CSE is a four-year programme at Shiv Nadar University, which is divided into eight semesters. Shiv Nadar University BTech CSE curriculum requires students to complete a minimum of 160 credits, out of which 61 credits are to be completed from Major Core, 15 from Major Elective category, 17 credits in Basic Sciences, 13 credits in Engineering Siences and 12 cedits from Project basket. Great infrastructure, good placements.

Placements: The placements, as heard by the seniors, are great in SNU compared to many other private colleges in India. Mostly, there is a 100 percent placement rate, while some students go for higher education as well. Top companies like Microsoft, GS, WNS, KPMG, PwC, etc. visit the campus.

Infrastructure: The hostels are well organized, neat, and clean. Proper hygiene is maintained in the preparation of mess food, and it is tasty with good options for students. There is a hospital inside the campus for all medical facilities for the students. The sports complex has all sports-related facilities.

Faculty: The course structure is well designed, and professors help and teach in the best way possible. The grading scheme is mostly relative, not absolute, as the exams are tough to clear for most students. Students need to maintain a good attendance of 75 percent to give exams.

Other: The college has a lit campus life. Fests happen every 3-4 weeks.

Hidden realities of SNU college

Placements: My batch will pass out in 2028. 92% of students got placed in tech-related companies. The highest package of Batch '23 is 58 Lacs, the average package of SNU is 12.85 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Adobe, Wipro, TCS. Only 35% of students got internships in their 6th semester.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. SNU is planning to increase the area further so that they can create more sports fields. Wi-Fi speed is 400mbps but only for the showcase, your mobile data will work faster than the Wi-Fi. Classrooms and auditoriums are well-equipped with projectors and ACs, but hostel rooms don't have AC. Even the water quality is not that good. Quality of food is acceptable, they provide 5 meals a day.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, but most of them are not able to express what they want to. In short, they are good researchers rather than good teachers. Although the curriculum is good, they don't focus much on real-life problems. Students have to make efforts on their own to crack internships and placements. Semester exams are not that difficult, they are easy.

Other: I chose CSE in SNU because of its great placement stats, less crowd, and well-qualified teachers. They should improve the quality of water and provide more scholarships. Connectivity is bad, it's in Dadri which is very far from the main city, so you won't get any hangout places outside the campus.

The cutoff of Shiv Nadar University is at the 90 to 93 percentile from the stats of last year of this college admission. Admissions also happen through CUET, SAT, ACT or SNUSAT exam. So, if you want to take admission, then you have many entrance exams options.

For different categories. there is different cutoff percentage. For general category in CSE, they have to score 130-160 or 96% to 98% and for OBC, they have to score 92 to 94 percentage and for SC, they have to score 85 to 87 percentage for ST, they have to score around 80 to 85.
