JSS: Paradise for students and experience for lifetime.
Placements: There were 45 students in my branch out of which 5 were placed in core mechanical I. e Honda motors. Rest were placed in consultancies. The highest package was 9.5lpa and the lowest was somewhere around 3.02lpa. Tgere were several companies which came for placements in my college and maximum batch was placed with Tech mahindra.
Infrastructure: College was quite decent with overall area of somewhere around 30acres situated in the mid city having all the nessecary requirements at a nearby distance. Hostel was equipped with Wi-Fi, TT tables, gysers. There was a well organised library with all the necessary books available. Classrooms were big and it never felt like it is too over crowded or suffocating in any way whatsoever.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. Each and every teacher was master of what he/she was teaching. The knowledge they provided to us showed how knowledgeable they were in themselves. It was not only that we were only centred towards aceing the exams but also we were provided with timily industrial visits so that we can understand the industry we were destined to join.
Other: It was basically the sub part of mechanical. I wanted to pursue my B.Tech from mechanical stream but unfortunately I landed into Manufacturing which later on turns out to be a boon for me. It helped me grew from a naive child to an experienced and mature individual. The events, fest and the crowd from different part of india helped me understand the cultural diversity of india. The cricket events, basketball matches and dance and singing completion never made us feel like the course was somewhat burden to us.

JSS is not upto the mark but yet better than other AKTU private colleges.
Placements: I joined the college considering the placement records it had in the past years. But with the year unfolding the placements were reduced. Although software companies were yet coming in bulk and CS and IT had almost 100% placements. We also had to compromise by sitting in those software companies that did the mass hiring. As far as core companies are concerned, it was very disappointing for us that very few or no core companies arrived for hiring. I being from Manufacturing Technology branch can say that not even a single company arrived for placements. Even our immidiate senior batch did not have any core campus placements. But yes, the seniors before that were luxurious enough to have companies like Motherson in the campus for hiring.
Infrastructure: Speaking as a whole, JSS had a good infrastructure. At least better than other colleges that are affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. It has many plus points in terms of infrastructures. It has the best library among other colleges in NCR. The cafeteria is actually the place for friends to hang out. Laboratories are very well equipped especially the workshop lab, machine lab and chemistry lab. All other labs are also well equipped. It has an outstanding multipurpose hall. The points where JSS lacks in infrastructure are the classrooms and sports facilities and even it lacks an amphitheatre that I really wanted to have in the college when I saw that in ABESIT.
Faculty: Course curriculum can not be commented as it is decided by the affiliating university that is AKTU. And that is I guess the same in almost every university for engineering with slight differences. But the exam pattern and the marking pattern in the case of college internals is very funny. You don't get marks on performance but you get marks on your writing and your equation with the teacher. But that is not their fault as they make you ready for the externals where the condition is even worse. You can't predict your marks at all. You obviously can't get evaluated on the basis of your image in the external examinations but yes presentation, handwriting and length of answers. Except for some teachers, all the other teachers are useless but that is again the case in almost all the AKTU colleges. JSS still has a better situation as compared to other AKTU colleges.
Other: Everything has some pros and cons. Whatever the cons are there in JSS, still a slight bit of research is appreciated in it. Though very less in number, but some teachers are there who are always ready to help you out. It has a real campus feel like the image we have of college before coming. Especially courtyard and Cafeteria are the most happening places in the college. If you like extracurricular activities and have the zeal to do something extra apart from your curriculum then there are many students societies dedicated to different arts, sports and crafts and even technology. In that case, JSS is the right choice for you. Also, its location is one of the prime location in Noida which is in reach of almost every happening place in Noida and public transports are available right at the main gate of the college.

Other: The College is good and the Teachers are very cooperative. The quality of education is good. Good Practical exposure is also provided. Labs are in good condition. There is a little problem with respect to the stream of study. Most of the people don’t know the stream Manufacturing Technology and this creates problem in some PSU. I request to please change the name of the stream, as we study mostly all the subjects of Mechanical plus some Production and Industrial Engineering. Overall, the college is good and the quality of education is better.

Other: Though it is a good college but the quality of faculty members as well as tge administration student coordination is not good. During my graduation year there was no companies for mechanical or manufacturing technology, for cs or it there were ample companies.

Q:   Is B.Tech syllabus similar for all colleges?
A:

The BTech syllabus is not similar in all the Indian colleges. Talking about the first year of BTech, the general subjects taught are almost similar that include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and other engineering fundamentals to provide a basic foundation for the BTech course ahead. Further, the BTech syllabus will differ on the basis of the specialisation you have chosen and the college, different colleges follow their own set of guidelines regarding the course curriculum that includes both core and elective subjects along with practical lab work.

AskShikshaGPT on App
Q:   Are there any elective subjects in B.Tech course?
A:

BTech courses do offer a variety of electives for you to opt for in the 5th and 6th semesters, where you get the chance to pick a specific subject that interests you more and is easy-going for you.
You can choose to pick a subject according to the specialised field within your broad BTech specialization, which you would like to enter into in the future, where you see yourself as a happy and well-established engineering professional. For example, in BTech Electrical Engineering, there are a variety of electives like Power Systems and Electronics, Signal Processing, Communication Systems Theory, VLSI Technology, etc.
