Review of Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all the best facilities for the students. Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms, a huge library with 2500 books and the best labs. Facilities available are quit improved from the previous year. Sports facilities are perfect. Our college provides ground for any type of sport. There is a free medical kit for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly knowledgeable. They have experience of about 10 years in teaching, and their teaching quality is perfect. They provide projector-based studies. They make students perfectly industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in computer and technology. The best thing is students got a brilliant mind for performing the code through regular classes so that they make themself motivate to self-study rather than rely on teachers. Our college organises some events and the biggest event named Avirbhav.

The college provides good infrastructure, facilities and faculty members.
Placements: The intake of our college is 180, and in the previous year out of 180 students, nearly 120 were placed. Top recruiting companies of our college are Grand Thornton, ICICI Bank, Curltfit, Oracle and KPMG. The salary package offered is around 4 LPA to 6 LPA. Generally, students take an internship after the end of the second semester.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with Wi-Fi both in college as well as hostels. There is a Bloomberg lab in our college. The college also provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls with facilities of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The north Indian and South Indian food is also provided. There is a gym for both boys and girls, which is free of cost.
Faculty: All faculty members are highly qualified, and they give quality education to the students. The college also focuses on holistic development and provides placement training to the students. The course curriculum is very good, and it helps the students to be ready for the industry.
Other: Ettin is a national level management fest which is conducted every year in our college. The campus is not overcrowded as limited seats are available.

Through our college, one can gain good education and knowledge. Come for quality education.
Placements: The placement for MBA batch of 2017-19 is ongoing, and almost 29 students have been placed. We still have 6 more months for the course to end and we expect to reach a good number by that time. Our batch has a total of 180 students. Last year, the placement percentage was 60%, and 2 years back, the placement was as high as 75%. The highest salary offered was 5.7 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA. The companies who came for recruitment include Grant Thornton India, EVRY India, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance amongst others. The major roles offered were for finance and marketing students, like, financial analysts and tax and sales auditor respectively. Around 10-15 students got internships from the college. Their stipend varies from Rs. 3,000 per month to Rs. 6,000 per month. We have a well-established placement cell coordinated by Mr Guruprashanth Bhat and assisted by Ms Anlita Suvarna. This team is working really well to get the well known and reputed companies to the college for placement. Recently, the placement department organised a 2 days official trip to Bangalore to invite companies to our campus. The college doesn’t guarantee 100% placements but believes in quality.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of JKSHIM includes a Bloomberg Lab (which is new in South Canara), Wi-Fi of 1.5 GB per person per day, well-established library facility, on-campus photostat and stationery facility, and a canteen which is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturdays. They remain closed on Sunday. There's also proper washroom and drinking water facilities.
Faculty: Our institute is an autonomous one and thus, our syllabus is up to date with the current job marketing requirements. Many of the activities are designed by experienced and doctorate-holding professors of our institute keeping in mind the current trends. Our pedagogy, although, is influenced by VTU, Belagavi. Most of our professors rely on smart class teaching. Few of them give us assignments which are practical orientated (especially marketing), where we have to research in order to come to a conclusion of the assignment. Majority of our professors are PhD holders, and a few are under the process of becoming PhD holders. One professor mentors every 12 students. We did get to study about industries as per the pedagogy design where a team of 6 members have to choose one company and find out the industry it belonged to and answer the questions designed by the team of our marketing professor. The study of the industry helped us to understand the concepts of marketing. After entering 2nd-year, students have to do MIA (management in action) in which they have to provide consultancy services to small firms/gram panchayat/NGO.
Other: Our institute organises a fest every year called Ettin. It is a 2-day b-school fest which is full of hard-core business management competitions like quiz events, operation research, business plan and much more. There is greenery all around the campus. Our institute organises CEO conclave once every year and international conclave twice a year. Apart from these, our institute also organises inter-class competitions and management at ground (related to games).

I am satisfied here because of the good placements and good quality of education.
Placements: The placement is very good in This college. In the year 2017-2018 more than 70% students placed in reputed companies. The next year placement will be better than ever in the college history because, Bloomberg finance laboratory is opened and students do course and projects on real time data. The package was the highest 9 Lacs and the lowest is 3 Lacs. The some of the names of companies visited last year is Grant Thornton, ICICI bank, Moody's, Infosys, Axis Bank etc. The roles were Business analytics, financial analyst, HR manager, marketing managers etc. 90% of the students got internship opportunity and the stipend is also very good. There is Placement cell co-ordinated by Guruprashanth Bhat. Students can refer companies and placement comitte will bring the company to the campus.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good and 3 floor building which has all the facilities. The new Bloomberg Finance lab is opened and there is very good library facility. Hostel is nearby and ground. 24*7 Wi-Fi facility is available and building is situated in greenery location and there is Outdoor class room.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and friendly to students. Teaching quality is very good and students will get industry exposure because of lot of projects. Course and assigmnets are more of based on Bloomerg laboratory. The course structure is very useful.
Other: National and international conferences organised every year and even CEO conclave also organised. National level fest, competitions, guest lectures will be organise. Many extracurricular activities will be there. Connectivity and surroundings also good.

Good faculty and well built structure.
Placements: Placements were quite good, decent companies had come including private banks. During my batch there was nearly 90% placement in our college but the average pay I would say is 2.5 Lacs per annum. No clear vision on the internship as people had many option to opt rather than taking an internship. Yes, there is a placement cell, I would say not that great.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good. It is a college mixed technology and nature. As the college has given importance to the plantation and improved technologies too. The college even has one class in open space covered with trees. The library is full of updated books and different newspapers and magazines and also has a 24hrs Wi-Fi facility.
Faculty: I would say this is one of the biggest strength of Justice K, S. Hegde Institute of Management as all the lecturers are well qualified and also gives more importance to practical studies rather than theory. For each theory, there is always a practical example or assignment to be done.
Other: Justice K. S. Hegde is known for Basketball and Hockey and it also gives importance to other sports too therefore there are three well structured play grounds and one indoor stadium with a well-equipped gym with recent machines and treadmills.

Don't want to say that I'm dissatisfied because I have learned some good things and it's good.
Placements: I'm from 2015 batch of Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management. The placement is not that much good, but still, the college is good and very strict. They will arrange some interviews. You guys need to struggle hard to get pass marks compare to other colleges. In my year, the placements were very bad. Not even 20% of the students got placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The college situated in the middle of nature. The Wi-Fi facility is good. The labs are okay. The library is too good, and you will get enough books to read. The medical facilities are also there. For sports, there is a very big ground with good facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. Some of them are not good. They will make us fail, based merely on your behaviour, but not based on your exam performance. Some faculty members are too good like Sandhya Rao, Joshi, SRK, Shilpa, and Sharavanan. The teaching qualities are good. They used soft copy and projector as the teaching method.
Other: Events are extremely good, and it will teach many things.
