Review of K.B. Jha College, Purnea University.
Placements: There is no placement cell, and our college does not provide placement opportunities. All student tends to prepare for government exams like SSC railway, bank, army, etc. Roles are offered to the students. Some students opt for further studies.
Infrastructure: Buildings are old, and the infrastructure condition is poor. Funds are not allotted for renovation purposes for our college. In our college, the classrooms are quite spacious, but the lighting condition is poor. Air-conditioners are not provided in classrooms except in the principal office. Labs and libraries are not operational. Classrooms are dusty as cleaning is not done. There is no Wi-Fi facility for students. There is no hostel facility, canteen and mess facilities in our college. There is a small ground where volleyball is played sometimes.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable. Most of the teachers are very rude and are money minded people. Classes are not held, and it does not have attendance criteria. The course curriculum is outdated for students who are good at scoring good in exams. Exams are not held on time and are delayed. Students who are enrolled in the three-year programmes get their final results in the last phase of the fourth year. The course curriculum is not industry-oriented.
Other: I have chosen this college because I wanted to choose a college that is near my home and which does not have any attendance criteria. There are many things in which college is lagging behind like it does not have clean washroom facilities, Wi-Fi, hostel facilities, sports facilities, etc. Any types of seminars, webinars, cultural fests are not organised here. The college is well-connected with roads and located in a town area. There are no clubs or societies in our college.

I am not much satisfied, and there is no hope for any placement.
Placements: It is very difficult to get placements immediately after graduation since no college is able to give a better placement just after graduation. Unlike all the colleges, our college also fails to provide placements after the degree. There is no placement cell in our college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, and the laboratories are not well-equipped with modernised and sophisticated instruments. Sometimes students have to suffer a lot during the practical classes due to a lack of instruments. Medical facilities are not good. Sports and games equipment is available here, and you can play football, cricket and carrom on our campus.
Faculty: As it is a government-aided college, appointed teachers and professors are directly recruited by the government. They are knowledgeable enough, but professors don't care about you. They come and start teaching. They don't care you understand or not or whether you are listening properly. You have to be very conscious and attentive in class.
Other: Currently, I am pursuing B.Sc from this college. I have chosen this college because it is very near to my house, and it is also easy for me to attend the classes regularly without traveling for hours. The best thing about our course is it provides an opportunity to learn every subject in science and to gain some knowledge in physics, chemistry and maths. It would be very useful for students' future and in career aspects. The infrastructure of this college should be better, and laboratories should be well-equipped with needy instruments. Events are not organised by the college authority, but some cultural program is held every year. Scholarships are offered here for economically backward students.

Our college is good, and it provides good placements.
Placements: About 60% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered in our course was Rs. 20,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. About 40% of the students from our course got an internship.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our course are super. Our college provides very good facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, etc. Quality of the facilities in our hostel is good. Quality of food served in the mess is good. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is super. Teachers are so gentle and humble. They help us in many ways. The course curriculum is not relevant, but it makes the students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because this course is very strong and demanding. I wish the college should improve the time to complete the course.

I suggest others to not take admission to this college.
Placements: I don't know how many students have taken admitted to B.A. and the college does not offer any placement. By the way, I am doing my B.A., so this is not a professional course which offers a job after completing it, but this college is not good.
Infrastructure: The classes are not running, we don't go to college, and there are no facilities given to us. The infrastructure of our college is very bad. Classrooms are so dirty that no one is taking action on them. So please go to another college and start your studies in a good environment.
Faculty: I do not know about any professors because I have not taken any classes. The professors are too rude to students whenever I go to college. They are very irresponsible to us. They do not think about us. They only care for their payment through the government.
Other: I suggest others not take admitted to this university. I will say that if anyone wants to study or do something in life, they should not take admission here and instead study outside of Bihar.

K. B is the best college in our city named Katihar, so I suggest you to join here for education.
Placements: Placements for 2015 passed out batch was started at the beginning of the 2014 year with zero-day. K. B Jha College provided 22 placement offers in various law firms such as CAM, SAM, Luthra & Luthra, Khaitan & Co, etc. PSU companies also visited our college later in the year along with outsourcing companies such as Pangea3, OSC Legal, etc., for placements. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA, whereas the average salary package offered was around 8 LPA-9 LPA. There were 8 pre-placement offers. The placement committee worked extremely hard to invite top companies and firms to K. B Jha, and legal associates were the roles offered to students. Our senior batch had comparatively less placements than our batch. From the batch of 180 students, about 100 students opted for placements, out of which at least 80 students got placed.
Infrastructure: All the facilities which students want are available in our college, and our college is improving year by year. The food served in the mess is edible and different some times. Hygiene is well maintained. Hostel rooms are excellent and have ample space and good ventilation, but there are no air-conditioners in the rooms. However, classrooms have air-conditioners and are world-class.
Faculty: Some professors here are really well educated and top in their domain. I liked to get mentored by some professors. They help you with your doubts, projects and your ambitions. I got industry exposure due to some outstanding external faculty members who visit here. The course curriculum includes all aspects of laws, and PPTs, notes making, group discussions and regular classes with 80% attendance are mandatory for students. Some professors are not well-equipped and constantly change, which is a hazard. However, amenities and help provided here are world-class. You get access to portals, a well-equipped library and teachers mentorship throughout the year.
Other: Our college organises various moot court competitions such has maritime moot, international moot court along with various seminars such as seminars on law and economics, seminars on women empowerment, etc. The campus crowd is diverse as a lot of students are from various backgrounds. The campus is situated in a village named Korba, so the connectivity was a big issue. For autos, they charge a lot of money for a short distance.
