Well-rounded college life with good infrastructure and learning environment.
Placements: Around 40-50% of B.Com students get placed with average packages of 3 LPA to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, EY, and HDFC. About 60-70% of students secure internships in finance, audit, and banking sectors.
Infrastructure: KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce offers excellent infrastructure for B.Com students, including spacious classrooms with projectors, campus-wide Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked library. Computer lab supports learning tools like tally and MS excel. Hostels are clean and well-maintained with shared rooms, regular housekeeping, and basic furniture. Mess provides hygienic, average-tasting food with multiple options. Canteens and cafes are also available on campus. Medical needs are handled by an on-call ambulance service and nearby Somaiya Hospital. Sports facilities include a large playground, basketball court, gym, and indoor games. Overall, campus provides a comfortable and resourceful learning environment.
Faculty: Faculty members at KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, with a mixture of theory and practical examples. B.Com curriculum is relevant and covers key subjects like accounting, taxation, and finance, but students need extra certification for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderately difficult, mostly theory-based, and the pass percentage is high. Around 85-90%, as long as students attend lectures and study regularly.
Other: I am currently pursuing B.Com (bachelor of commerce) from KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, with the expected passing year 2026. I chose this course because of my strong interest in finance, accounting, and business. It provides a solid foundation for future careers in CA MBA or corporate finance. The best part about this course is the structured syllabus covering key commerce subjects and the flexibility to explore internships or additional certification. College also encourages participation in seminars, competitions, and placement training sessions. However, the course could improve by adding more industry-focused content, practical training, and updated software tools to prepare students better for the job market. College hosts popular events like Symphony (cultural fest), sports tournaments, and inter-college competitions, which make student life vibrant. Campus crowd is diverse, friendly, and engaging. Campus is well-connected by trains and buses, located in the heart of Vidyavihar, Mumbai. Scholarship options are available for deserving and economically weaker students. College also promotes extracurricular activities through NSS, NCC, drama, debate clubs, and more, giving students a chance to grow holistically. KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce offers good academics, supportive faculty members, and strong infrastructure.

Best college for the course!
Placements: The percentage of students placed is above 80%; it differs as per the list. There are prescribed fees for different years. Companies like Land, JP Morgan, etc., have placement rates of about 70% to 80%, sometimes even 100%. I am a student and very happy with the university!
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best, very peaceful, and clean. The facilities like the library, ladies' rooms, AC canteens, and many more are available. The best quality of food is provided, and there is a wide variety of food. The quality of facilities is the best.
Faculty: Teachers and the whole staff are very helpful. The teaching quality is the best, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and highly qualified. It prepares the students and makes them ready to face the industry. The exams are easy if you study well; the passing percentage is 100%.
Other: I am doing CA, so I had to go with B.Com. It is the best course if you are too far behind already. It’s already the best. All extra activities and, in general, everything is the best.

More Placement opportunities should be Given, satisfied with the Faculty .
Placements: I am currently in my third year of B.Com. As far as I can see, good companies are coming for placements with good packages and different internship opportunities. The average package is between 2-5 LPA. Around 50-60% of students in my course got internships, and jobs are offered based on skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is somewhat old-fashioned, and the facilities are basic. Sometimes classrooms are not clean, and they haven't provided the Wi-Fi password. The library is average, but the books are helpful before exams, especially with the book bank scheme. The computer lab is good, and the teachers are helpful.
Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful, but sometimes lectures are irregular. Semester exams are not difficult if you prepare properly. Teachers help and clear students' doubts. However, I don't think this course currently makes students industry-ready.
Other: The campus is pretty good, with various sports and facilities, including a canteen. I think the course should be more industry-relevant rather than solely book-based, so students gain more practical experience and knowledge.

The overall review is 5/5.
Placements: All students who were interested in placement and didn't want to study further got placements at very good packages. The companies that visit here for placement are also big organizations; for example, one of my friends is in KPMG, one is in PWC, one is in HDFC Bank, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has its own Wi-Fi, which is a 5G network. The canteens are very clean and hygienic, and the cost of the food is also affordable and tasty. The library is quiet and the best place for people who love to read books because they have thousands of books for everyone.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and the non-teaching staff are also very helpful; even after college hours, if you ask for help, they help. This is my personal experience, and all the other people who work there, like teaching staff as well as non-teaching staff, all are properly graduated and qualified.

An extract of the KJ Somaiya review.
Placements: The highest package offered is 6.5 LPA, and the average package is 2.5-3 LPA. I'm not sure about the percentage of students placed. The companies that offer placements are TCS, Reliance, HDFC, etc., including Wipro. Roughly 40% of students get placed for internships in the companies mentioned earlier, with stipends ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 15,000. Roles include Accountant, Business Development Intern, Finance Intern, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good, especially for sports. They have a whole campus, and it’s a great opportunity for anyone who is into sports. They offer a variety of sports like chess, basketball, football, table tennis, and more. The infrastructure is great, with all the greenery, and there are lots of libraries with a variety of books. For the hostel, I would say it's above average, but it’s very expensive. It is available for all courses. All facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and others are there, but the hostel is kind expensive. The cafeteria is there, but they don't have a variety.
Faculty: Teachers are good, though not all of them. They possess great knowledge, and some of them have a really good teaching style. The curriculum is helpful, they give assignments and compulsory presentations for everyone, and it is relevant. The difficulty depends on the student. For me, it is very easy, since I have already studied a lot of them in the CA course. But generally, I would say it is moderate. Around 35-40% of students failed last time.
Other: I choose this college and course mainly because of its campus. I'm an athlete, so it's a win situation for me. I wish they would remove some subjects that are not relevant, like MS, which is not relevant to real-life scenarios, not at all. They have a lot of fests and events, and the campus is moderately crowded on normal days, but during fests, it gets even more crowded. They also offer scholarships for girls if their household income is up to 3Lakhs.

Excellent Academics, Good Placements, and Great Infrastructure!
Placements: The college has a decent placement record, with between 60 and 80% of students getting placed. The highest package offered is up to 8 LPA, while the average package ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include KPMG, JPMorgan, Deloitte, TCS, and Wipro. Around 40 to 65% of students secure internships in top companies. The most sought-after roles include Audit Analyst, Account Operations, Junior Executive, and Marketing positions. Overall, the college provides a good platform for students to launch their careers.
Infrastructure: K J Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce boasts excellent infrastructure, including a well-stocked library, modern labs, spacious classrooms, and an auditorium. Hostel facilities offer comfortable accommodation and hygienic food. Medical facilities, a sports complex, a gym, and campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity cater to students' overall development.
Faculty: The faculty at K J Somaiya College are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, providing excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant, industry-oriented, and prepares students for professional roles. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a pass percentage of around 80-90%.
Other: I chose B.Com at K J Somaiya for its reputation and industry connections. The best aspects are the comprehensive curriculum, experienced professors, and internship opportunities. The campus offers a diverse crowd, good connectivity, and extracurricular activities.
