Placements: Kongu Engineering College, batch 2026 placement rate is 95 percent. The highest package is 64 LPA, the average is 6 LPA-8 LPA, and the lowest is up to 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Google, Bosch, Trustrace, etc., and top roles are software engineers and data analysts.
Infrastructure: Our department has smart projectors, Wi-Fi connectivity, and the central library has extensive books, journals, etc. Hostel facilities and rooms are of good quality with free Wi-Fi connectivity, regular housekeeping, and the mess food is of good hygiene.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, many holding PhDs. They are helpful, approachable, and knowledgeable in core engineering. Semester exams are moderately difficult internal assessments, lab exams, and model tests with regular study and faculty providing notes and question banks.

Placements: In the CSE course about 80-90 percent students are placed each year. The highest packages reach around 10 to 20 LPA while average packages are typically ?4-8 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant. 30 to 50 percdent students secure internships with companies like TCS, Infosys and various startups. Common roles offered are Software Developed, Data Analyst, Network Engineer and Web Developed.
Infrastructure: The CSE course offers good infrastructure with modern labs, Wi-Fi, spacious classrooms and well stocked library for research. Hostels provide decent facilities, including basic rooms, reliable Wi-Fi and average quality food in the mess. Medical support is available on campus along with sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games. The campus is well-maintained fostering positive environment for study and extracurricular.
Faculty: The CSE faculty are qualified and supportive with many holding advanced degrees. Teaching quality is generally good often combining theory and practical work. The curriculum aligns with industry standards, helping students gain relevant skills. Exams are fair but challenging, focusing on understanding. Pass percentage is around 70-85%, which varies by semester.
Other: Chose CSE for teach interest. Best: practical exposure and fests. Improvements needed in labs and update.

My point of view for my college.
Placements: In my college, after completing the 5th semester, they started the training based on the placements. They provide more than 100 companies for placements in our college. In our department, there are 250 students, and out of these, 65 students got placed in the 6th to 7th semester. After that, many students got placed, and now they are also attending placements. Now 12 is only yet to be placed in our department. Students who didn't have more than one arrear are eligible to attend the placements. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. 90% of students got placed. After my degree, I want to get placed in IT.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very large and have projectors, besides being Wi-Fi enabled. In a room there are three members to stay; there are 3 cots, 3 tables, 3 chairs, and 3 cupboards. The restrooms are cleaned twice a day by cleaner servants. In girls hostels, they are strict. There is no outing, and no outside foods are allowed. In our hostel, they provide only vegetarian meals. The meal is good. We have to pay 80,000 for the hostel fee per year, which includes food, room, safety, current, cleaning, etc. There are washing machines also in our PG.
Faculty: There are more than 200 faculty members in our college and 100 more lab assistants in our college. In our department., most of the faculty members are very good and motivated the students very well. They listen to the family stories and then make the students be motivated. I liked my class advisory named Keerthika; she is very kind and caring. She motivated us to make some projects and paper presentations in intercollege. I didn't like one staff member; she is also our class advisor; actually, in one class, they have three class advisors. She always bullied me, so I didn't like her. Her name was Sagana. There are totally 8 semesters. We can skip the exams in the final year based on the credit system. If we get credit through NPTEL, we can skip the subjects. In our class, 5 students are not able to clear the exams. The curriculum is based on our domain. If the new technology comes, please include it in the curriculum.
Other: My preference in my 12th standard is to join a college in Chennai. So we did counseling; we put all the colleges in Chennai and only one college in erode, as our brother refers. In the counselling results, I got only one college, which is Kongu Engineering College. Starting, I have no idea about the college and the city. But after joining the college, I made many friends and met lovely staff. And the teaching is very good at our college, as are the placements also. The environment in our college is very green; it gives some energy to students. In our college, we paid one and a half lacs for admission for counselling students; after that, the semester fee is 25000 and the hostel fee is 80000. And for management students, they paid 800,000 for the donation fee and then 1 and a half lacs for the admission fee. The one and a half Lacs means 175000. For amenity rooms, it charges 70000 for hostels. 25000 for tuition fee, 5000 for book fee, 20000 for bus fee, 20000 for lab fee, development fee 15000, and other compulsory charges of 5000. The BC category received a 10,000 scholarship, while the SC category received a 25,000 scholarship.

Placements:
90% of the students who passed this year have all been placed, while the remaining 10% are not willing to sit for placements as they want to pursue higher studies and entrepreneurship. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Zoho, Mr. Cooper, etc. The highest package offered is 14 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average is 9 LPA. The students also get internships during their third year.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure with a separate block for each department. For CSE, we have 16 classrooms, 10 labs, and 1 universal library. Wi-Fi is free for all students across the campus. The hostel food was slightly moderate; they need to improve it. Each room has triple occupancy with three beds. For medical problems, there is a dispensary where you can get your health checked.
Faculty: The college has a good curriculum with more than 100 courses, which is value for money. We have more faculty in our college who guide us well, and the exams are conducted well. Every month, one exam is conducted, and finally, the main exam is conducted.
Other: I chose Computer Science because it has a wide range of opportunities in the market, and our college has the best placements for Computer Science in our state. The college does not have proper network connectivity. The network speed goes down once you enter the classroom. It's been a concern for many students, and the management can take necessary action. I chose this course because of my own interest, and I chose this college because the placement rate is very good here.

The curriculum is a little difficult because we suffer to manage both the curriculum and our extra curricular activities.
Other: I chose Computer Science Engineering because I want to do web development and also learn coding. In this course, from the first year itself, they started teaching web development from the basics which made it easy for me to learn. The curriculum syllabus must be designed in a manner that it seems easy for all. There are 2 of the biggest fest in our college namely Enthusiasm and Swaram.

KEC Hostel Infrastructure and Course Quality: An Honest Review
Placements: More than 90% of students get placed every year, and any software-based company is a top recruiter. The top roles offered in my course are full-stack development and back-end development. The highest package was 13 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. More than 80% of students got internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure and lab facilities are nice and well-maintained. Hostel facilities are nice, but the food is the worst. Not worth the fee paid. No non-vegetarian food is provided, but nearby hotels are available. Gyms and sports facilities are available and well-maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and are always available for help. They always help and encourage students to participate in new events and competitions. The curriculum is updated every year and is up-to-date with industry trends. Semesters are not that hard, and the pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a computer science engineer. The best thing about his course is that we get exposure to all the other branches and courses. More scholarships should be provided to students who join through counseling, and hostel food should be and feels must be reduced.

If you want a good life then come to KEC.
Placements: In our college, almost 70 to 92 recent of students were placed in various companies like tcs, Tata motors, Infosys, IBM, and many other core companies. The highest package is about 13L per annum and the lowest package is about 2.5 L per annum. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, tcs and some local companies. Almost 40 to 60 percent were got intern. Roles offered are team leads, testing zone, manufacturing units and so on.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are great and well teaching, Wi-Fi is integrated all over the college amd it works till night 12 pm at night and starts at 3 am in morning. Having great labs, top notch library. Hostal has well facility and good food is provided, medical facilities are provided. Sports are given more I'importance.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowaligible and the teach on particular system and conduct many fun activities and provide good nature in class. Curriculum is well defined and updated regularly, it provides industry ready, students. The pass percentage is 50.

Absolutely good beacuse of placements.
Placements: Good companies like Mearsk, Zoho, Solitron, Presidio, Coding Mart, imNeo, DE Shaw, Trilogy and many others visit our college for placements. Many non tech companies like Ford, Hyundai, Mahindra, Bosch visit our college for placements also. Internships are available in almost all companies that visit our campus. Around 90% of students got placed in our college in various companies with packages from 4-10 LPA.
Infrastructure: For sports, the college provides various opportunities in various games including cricket, kabaddi, Tennis, volleyball and more. The hostel food in quite good but it offers only Vegetarian food, and the quality of the food is not good on some days but some days, it is good. Infrastructure wise of the college is good and it has been recognised for clean campus on National level.
Faculty: Teachers who newly joined are not good even though they have Ph.D. Experienced teachers are really good and have good grasp of the subjects they are undertaking. The lab facilities are good we have lab sessions a lot and can gain experience by working. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled but mostly all sites are blocked. Only you can watch and can't download even an educational related documents or videos. The course is industry standard, and the college has really high pass percentage.
Other: I chose computer Science because it has wide range of opportunities in market and our college has best placements for computer Science in our state. The college does not have proper network. The network speed will go down once you enter into the classroom. It's been a concern for many students and the management can take necessary actions. All first years will be under one block of building where they will be taught basics in engineering, and I feel it is good because the students will get good grasp of their domain.

Hello,
The cutoff score varies every year and based on your caste, for OC (general category), it will be the highest- around 195 and it reduces for others. For SC, ST it will be the lowest. However, you need to have at least 190 to get CSE at Kongu Engineering College.
