College is very good for middle class students to study at low cost with high education .
Placements: 1. 98% of students are placed in the mechanical branch and 100 percent in computer science courses.
2. This is a government college so the structure fees are very low, ranging from 8000 to 12000 only for a year.
3. In automobile engineering, some companies only come from Tata Motors and TCS.
Infrastructure: 1. Infrastructure is normal; labs are super.
2. Wi-Fi is not available.
3. Hostel facilities are super; food taste is normal.
4. Sports are also not available in our college.
5. The library has many books. College gives you a library card; you can take any book for 1 month.
Faculty: Teachers are teaching well; they are helpful and teach how to pass and how to approach the exam. They are all experienced teachers who teach well and easily.
They teach the important questions.
They give special attention to pass all the students in semester
.
Other: Why I am choosing this automobile course at this college is because this college is well equipped to teach mechanical and automobile students practical knowledge.

Great infrastructure and facilities, average food quality, friendly and experienced faculty.
Placements: Companies like TCS, ZOHO, Hyundai, TAFE, ACS and Delphi TVS will be coming. Hyundai and Delphi TVS recruitments will be mostly off-campus. In this college, there is a major rule, that is, if a student got placed in one company, he will not be eligible to attend the other companies. But they assure that the students placed will definitely get the call letter.
My batch consists of 35 eligible students (no history, no standing and above 7 CGPA). Out of which 8 students got placed. The previous batch also showed a similar placement rate.
The highest salary is 60,000/month (Zoho) and the lowest is 17,000/month (Delphi TVS).
Getting the internship from the college depends upon the student's relationship with the professors. They will help students with a good attitude to get internships in big companies.
Students will get scholarships based on the community and cast. Muslim students, BC, MBC, SC/ST and hostel students will get scholarships of around 5000/month.
Infrastructure: This college has a great infrastructure. The equipment in the laboratories are very rare in engineering colleges. This college has a name for having equipment and tools more than any of the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Frankly speaking, buildings of this college will be old as it is built in 1984 but you will love it once you get inside. It is located on a hill. It actually looks like a forest. IRTT owns 365 acres of land and the college is located on the Salem-Cochin National Highway.
You will see lots of trees in the campus and it will be cool all the time, even in summers.
There won't be an air-conditioner in the classrooms, only computer labs will have the air-conditioner.
There is an open Wi-Fi connection available for students of all departments. The hostel will have two Wi-Fi connections.
The library has more books than you can count. It has all the books required for the course. All the magazines and newspapers will be available in the library. The library is the only place where you can use mobile phone and laptop without any restrictions.
Frankly, this college is not for students who love sports. This college has volleyball and basketball grounds but there is no coach and you have to attend competitions by yourself.
Sports events are funded and arranged by students only.
First, second, third and fourth-year students have separate hostels guarded 24/7 by separate watchmen. For 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students, one room will be provided for two students. But 4th-year students have the liberty to choose either a separate room or a combined room.
The food provided in the hostel will be 'OK'.
There were no issues faced regarding the infrastructure by any student during my study period.
Faculty: Faculty members working here have an amazing experience of about 25-30 years in this college. The teaching style of the faculty members will amaze you and make you love the subject.
They will be friendly and helpful with anything. Every professor working here completed PhD and have an experience of about 28 years in this college, so they knew more about the student's mind and will act accordingly.
Southern India Division Secretary of SAE is working in this college, so any help regarding the companies can be easily obtained.
This college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and all the courses here are AICTE approved.
Other: This college was a government college, but recently, it got changed into a government-affiliated college.
Not all the faculty members will be friendly here.
The automobile engineering department here is the only department with all faculty members who are friendly.
This college was started as an automobile research center and then it was renamed with the addition of all other courses.
This college is administered and funded by the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation.
It will cost around 50,000/year for non-first graduate students and first graduate students will get 20,000 off from the above fee. The hostel fee is around 45,000/year.
A free college bus is available from the nearest towns (Chotthode and Lakshminagar).

Other: If you want to take automobile engineering as your destination and want to gain knowledge w then you must keep IRTT as your first opinion. Here, the faculty is very knowledgeable.
The infrastructure is not good here and least adaption to technology due to lack of funds perhaps. Many companies have a good impression of automobile engineers from IRTT which may help you in your placements.
Coming to the placements, if you gain enough knowledge, then no one can stop you from getting placed, as most companies want the engineers from IRTT because of their quality.

Good faculty members and easy to get job.
Placements: According to US bureau labour statics employment of automobile engineers is projected to grow 5 percent from 2014 - 2024. The highest package of 2022 in engineering field is 39 LPA. 6.1 times the highest return on investment in the region.
Infrastructure: The college is situated in the heart of the city. The natural choice and preferred destination for students from different parts of the country to pursue professional education. The city is home to globally renowned corporate houses in the IT sector. Finally, the hostels are good.
Faculty: Some qualities of a good teacher include skills and communication adaptability, empathy and patience. The semester exams are very much easy because my college teachers are very skilled and experienced teachers. And the pass percentage is very high (93 percent).
