Kongu Engineering College is good, but this college is located on the outskirts of Erode.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. They clear every doubt with an explanation. The curriculum is good. They provide more training for placements, but students feel more stressed. They also make students go for industry visits even in the first year. I am a first-year student, and I have not faced any semester exams yet.

An excellent college with good faculty members, infrastructure, and placement.

Faculty: Our college has 400 plus faculty members of which 300 plus faculty members are Ph.D. holders. Their quality of teaching is good. They clear the doubts when we need. The internal exam was pretty easy, and the pass percentage is about 70 and above. We expect the semester exam to be easy.

Good faculty but some idiots.

Faculty: All teachers are qualified through papers, but many of the old professors are very good and supportive, while some are idiots. The course makes the students more than ready for industry. The semester exams are easy to pass but hard to get good scores, and the pass percentage is good.

Value for money, recommended for others.

Faculty: Here are the main elements of the curriculum at KEC. The programmes follow the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and are structured according to Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Example: For the B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, the “Regulation, Curriculum & Syllabi R2022” document shows that the syllabus includes theory courses, theory-cum-practical, practical courses, internships, and projects.

From what I’ve seen, Kongu Engineering College's TNEA cutoff for CSE, IT, and ECE usually stays above 180–190, so with 175 it’s tough for those. But you can still get branches like Mechanical, Civil or EEE. The fees come to around INR 55 K – INR 60 k per year, and hostel charges are extra.
