The course and the college facility are absolutely excellent.
Placements: About 70–75% of students were placed in our college. There is no measure of the highest or the lowest of both packages offered at our college.
The recruiting companies are SEED fertilizer and banks like HDFS, ICICI and so many. 80% of students got the chance to get an internship, like in CEDSI.
Agriculture industries are top roles in our course.
Infrastructure: Labs are well prepared with good equipment, classrooms are also well structured and the library is very big and good but Wi-Fi is not available yet. All these facilities are available in our college; it depends on the students; some are satisfied or some are not.
Faculty: The teaching quality is absolutely wonderful because all teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. In 2022, yes, the practical work done by the students helps them get more experience, which makes them ready for industries.
No doubt the exams are quite difficult because of the large syllabus, but the pass percentage is good (70%).
Other: The course I choose has no end because agriculture is the primary source of income.
There should be more practical work.
All are excellent.

Overall, a good college. This is an autonomous institution, and the faculty members are PhD holders.
Placements: There are no placements for the agriculture department and food science and technology departments. There is no placement cell here, and they didn't even organise any placement drives in the college yet. However, placements for students are under progress. Brilliant students got admissions in good colleges abroad for further studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Khalsa College is amazing. there are good and well-equipped labs. Proper gloves and an eye protector are provided when we work in labs. Hostel facilities are also available in Khalsa College. Hostels are provided with 24 hrs Wi-Fi facility. The college cafeteria and department canteens are very good, and they serve tasty food. Hostel rooms are well ventilated, and even the accommodation facilities are very good for students. Classrooms are airy and are properly cleaned. We are not facing any problems at Khalsa College.
Faculty: Teachers of the agriculture department and food science and technology department are very well qualified. Almost all the teaches and our HOD are PhD holders. Both practical and theoretical knowledge is provided to us. We also got industrial exposure as they conducted visits to companies like Coca-Cola, wine industry, and Verma Milk Plant, etc.
Other: Youth festivals are organised in our college. Different departments organise their own events. The technical fest was also organised in Khalsa College (2018), and this fest was funded by Vivo. Brilliant and meritorious students are offered scholarships.

A bit dissatisfied because of lack of practical knowledge. Good infrastructure, inexperienced staff.
Placements: Khalsa college Amritsar was the first one to offer B.Sc. agriculture course in Punjab. The placements of my senior batch in 2017 were fine. Students were placed in banks and other companies like ITC. Salaries go from 15k to 35k per month. No internship was offered by college. There is a placement cell but it is not as efficient as it should be. The companies visiting our college are very few. Only 2% students get an internship on a private basis.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Khalsa college is pretty good. Well ventilated rooms and good library and medical facilities are available in the college. Every department has its own library along with a common library of college. Canteens offer hygienic food and hostel rooms are fine, a bit expensive. But overall the infrastructure related issues are negligible.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified but very few of them have the practical knowledge themselves.80% of teachers are inexperienced. The study material is not much relevant. Teachers don't have a dedicated method of teaching. Student-faculty ratio is 60:1. the curriculum is not upto the mark.

Khalsa college, agriculture department.
Placements: College does not offer much placement initiative for B.Sc. students whereas M.Sc. students have quite god placement records, mainly being in Mahindra Industries. Salary package of students lie around 2.5 Lacs per annum to 6 Lacs per annum. Internship among students is very rare and placement cell is there and efficiently working.
Infrastructure: The building is well recognised for its architecture and classrooms are well-equipped with sufficient labs and apparatus, a moderate library but not so fine medical facilities. Labs are well placed with mostly everything that is required for practice and essentially soil Science lab is one of its own in the whole city, canteen food is kind of average (I have had much better at gndu canteen) and hostel rooms are moderate for students. Basic infrastructure issue lack of generators in our department which has been fixed.
Faculty: Teachers are more than qualified and some professors are extremely valuable due to their impeccable understanding with students and experienced background. Teaching quality is quite good. Student to faculty ratio is 60:1. there is industry training at end years which provide enough industry exposure.
Other: Events especially cultural events are a major star in college, s reputation bhangra team being best in inter University championships, campus surroundings are beautiful due to intensive floriculture work and gigantic campusing.

The college lacks in quality education. Dissatisfied with faculty and placement cell.
Placements: The placement cell of college is very weak. Only a few companies visit the college campus for placements. This is the weak point of college. The students work hard in their graduation so that they could get good jobs, but there is no support by the college in achieving so. Different companies that visited the college so far are mainly Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Unisys, and Lava Tech. But, only a few students are selected for jobs. Talking about my particular course, i.e., B.Sc. Agriculture, no such placement opportunities are provided to the students. Students have to find jobs or work on their own. The placement cell of college needs to be strengthened so that more number of students get what they really deserve.
Infrastructure: The college has a beautiful main building and is famous for the historic times. It resembles the old forts in which the emperors lived. The entrance of the college is well maintained and openly spaced. Near to the main building of the college, there is a college cafeteria which is the main canteen of college. The food quality available there is good and fresh. Opposite to college canteen is the main parking of college which is widely spaced, and 400-500 vehicles can be easily parked over there. The rooms of the hostel, especially of boys hostel are very untidy Quality of bathrooms is very poor, and even no doors are provided to the bathrooms. The food available in boys mess is average. There is a dispensary near physiotherapy department, but no medical facility is provided by it. The classrooms are well built. The agriculture department of college is newly built and has a beautiful separate building. No Wi-Fi facility is available in the entire campus.
Faculty: The faculty of college are co-operative. But, only the permanent teachers of the college are well educated and provide quality education to the students. The teachers on ad-hoc do not take the responsibility of providing knowledge to students. They just deliver the lecture, make students write and go. The practical knowledge provided to the students is zero and students are told just to study from the books and notes provided to them by teachers. Few teachers make tremendous efforts, and their teaching methods are also very efficient such as some teachers teach through projectors. The advantage of this method is students are explained everything practically. Practical knowledge is much beneficial than the bookish language. The student to faculty ratio was mainly 70:5. I didn't get any industry exposure, but the course curriculum was much useful to me. The department of agriculture often had field visits which were an integral part of studies.
Other: In my 4-year graduate course, very few events were organised by the college. Plant fest was organised by department of agriculture annually. TechFest has recently been organised by the college. Sports meet is organised by college every year. Sports and extracurricular activities are given due importance. Alumni meet is being organised by the college every year in which the students are honoured and awarded for there good performances in different activities. Scholarships are provided to the students who perform very well in studies. The campus crowd is awesome. College is built on more than 300 acres of land. The college has access to all the facilities outside as it is built near to the road. In all, Khalsa College Amritsar is a good college lacking few facilities. The placement cell needs to strengthen so that students could be provided with a better future.

The college with excellent infrastructure and a historical building providing quality education.
Placements: There are not many placements in this college. Only a few companies visit the college for placements, and only a few students are selected for the jobs and rest of the students remain unemployed. Talking about my course, i.e. agriculture, the placements for agriculture students are not there, and ultimately students have to opt. For higher education or the students go abroad for education. The placement cell needs to strengthen to enlighten students future.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-maintained infrastructure with a historical building. Mainly the college is popular for its infrastructure and building. The entrance to the college is very well made that provides an excellent overview of the college. The college has spacious parking for students to park their vehicles. Opposite to parking, there is a canteen where students eat and refresh themselves. Agriculture block of the college is newly built, and it is beautiful.
Faculty: The faculty of college is co-operative. The staff of the college is hardworking, but few teachers are not willing to work and just come in the class, make students write and go. No knowledge is provided to the students. The agriculture department staff is hardworking and helpful.
Other: Since 4 years, the college has not conducted much events and fests. The college does not give much importance to the annual functions and fests. Although extracurricular activities are given importance and college conducts sports meets, alumni meets after few months.

Moderately dissatisfied with poor teaching quality. The absence of placements. Good infrastructure.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college, but it is not useful at all, and it is just there by name only. ITC visited in January 2018, for offering internships to the students of B.Sc. They selected agriculture final semester and only 3 students after going through a written test, group discussion, and an interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing. The campus is amazing. There is a canteen known as Cafeteria, and mostly fast food, tea and cold drinks are available in the canteen, and for the lunch, there is a hostel mess where students other than hostlers can also eat by paying Rs.20, and the food is average. There is a parking in the sufficient area. There are three gates of college, 2 on GT Road and one is backside gate. There is a big main ground, where there is a basketball ground, and the college organises sports day, and all the sports activities are held there, and students can sit there in their free lectures. There is a main library opposite to the main ground and separate libraries for every department are also there. There is a separate cricket ground. There is a college Guruduara where all the religious festivals are celebrated. There is a college dispensary. The sports students are given opportunities to play at the national level, and college students have won many awards in games. NSS and NCC in army wing, Airforce wing and Navy wing are also there. The labs in some departments do not have sufficient equipment. The classrooms are ventilated (no AC), and electricity problem is there sometimes during summer. Wi-fi facility is not present on the campus. The hostel rooms are average, and students have to face many problems especially during summers like electricity, water etc.
Faculty: Regular teachers are highly qualified and helpful, but the teachers on ad hoc do not have that much experience and knowledge about the subject, and that's where the problem is. The teachers give more stress on theory rather than practical which is not demanded by students. Most of the teachers just dictate the topic and ask students to write and provide notes at the end. To be honest, overall teaching quality is poor, and students have to do everything on their own mostly. There are very fewer industry exposures, but we had around 5 Agriculture field visits during the course, and we had an opportunity to get more practical knowledge during these visits.
Other: Alumni meet is held every year in March, where all the ex-students of the college who are at high designation in different fields are invited and given awards. Plant fest is held in agriculture department in which students bring potted plants, and various other activities are there. Raunak is an annual event held in which there are inter-department competitions in different activities like play, music, bhangra, dance, singing, rangoli making, salad making, etc. The college students also participate in Youth Festival held annually by GNDU, Amritsar. Annual Sports day and Independence Day is also celebrated, and various other Indian cultural festivals like Vaisakhi, Teeyan etc. are also celebrated in the college. The various departments also hold various other events in college. Nagar Kirtan on the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is also held. A talent hunt programme is also held for the students to show their talent. The college is at the first place in the area in case of extracurricular activities. There are some scholarship programs and fee concession for NCC and sports students.

Khalsa College Agriculture Review
Placements: The college invites various companies each year which deal in banking services to agricultural products. Normally, an aptitude test follows an interview after which the eligible students are shortlisted. Placement drives are carried out in the final semesters of each degree.
Infrastructure: There is a spacious, multi-storeyed building with modernised labs that have state of the art equipment. An abundant field is available for farm trials and research. State of the art library has several journals and magazines available throughout the year.
Faculty: The course is in accordance with the syllabus followed by PAU, Ludhiana. Preparation for the entrance exams is encouraged by providing significant exposure. Renowned and experienced faculty members are there for enriching students' knowledge. There is exposure for students through visits to KVKs and Kisan Melas. The college also organizes free seminars and workshops.
