The best college for undergraduate because of the college atmosphere, infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: I am a B.Sc. Mathematics Hons student. Around 40% to 45% of the students got placed in our course every year from our college. As it is a government college, there are many facilities. Every year, many students will study IIT, M.Sc. M.A from the renowned university after completion of their course from our college. Many students of our college doing government jobs. Famous Bengal actor named Soumitra Chattopadhyay studied in our college, who recently passed away.

Infrastructure: Our mathematics department has 3 rooms, 2 staff rooms and 1 practical lab room. Wi-Fi is not available in our department. There is a central library, and many students get benefits from the library. The support staff members of our college library are very helpful and friendly with us. Our college has 2 boys hostels, but there is no girls hostel facility. The quality of the food served here is acceptable. Wi-Fi facility is available in hostels. One canteen is available in our college, and the quality of the food served here is good, but the price is very high compared to the market price. There is a playground in our college.

Faculty: Teachers in our department are very helpful and friendly to us. Our department has 5 teachers, and every member has the highest degree in mathematics. Recently, our HOD Dr Kalidas Das sir registered his name as a scientist working on Nanofluid. They always motivate us.

Other: I have chosen mathematics honours at graduation level because I like to think with mathematics and solve mathematics problems since my childhood. The best thing about our course is that it is a very interesting subject. The campus atmosphere is very good. Our college organises fest, cultural programme and events every year on the campus.

Overall, it is the best college.

Placements: It is a general college for general education and not for professional education, so less companies visit here to recruit students. However, since it has post-graduation in a few subjects, so few institutions like nearby schools, local coaching centres like Nice, etc., visit here to recruit. The highest salary offered until now was Rs. 30,000 per month. Students who pursue PG will get recruited.

Infrastructure: There are both boys and girls hostels just behind the college, which is only 30-40 metres away. All types of services are available 24x7. The quality of the food served is very good. In our college, Wi-Fi facility is available in all departments. The library is available in every department with an ample number of books.

Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified and dignified, and they teach very well. Students get enough knowledge from the teachers, and they clear all doubts. Their teaching quality is very good. All the students who passed out from this college will get settled in their life very well.

Other: Our batch consists of more than 70 students, and I chose this course because I love maths. Best things about our course were we got the best faculty members and the best group, and also we got unity and friendship. Our course was more than enough, so we don't want to improve it. Every year annual fest, teachers day and department freshers parties are held. We enjoy them very much and actively participate in all activities.
