KVG College of Engineering is one of the most reputed engineering colleges in Karnataka, India. The engineering college, started in 1986, was one of the first private sector initiatives in technical education in Dakshina Kannada District.
The institute has been ranked by multiple ranking bodies under various categories.
KVG College of Engineering allows direct admission through management quota, which is 20-25% of total seats. Those who have completed their 10+2 with at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics would be eligible for direct admission. The admission activities commence in May and last till August. About 15-20% of the seats are for non-Karnataka students while 80-85% of them are for district students. There is also a provision of around 5-10% tuition fee concession for meritorious admission under direct scheme cases.
The admission procedure for KCET into the B.E./B.Tech courses at KVG College of Engineering initiates every year in January, with the online application form available on the official KEA website. It generally winds up around March with the closure date for application submissions, followed by an editing window from March to April. The KCET exam usually comes in April, and its results are announced after that in May. Soon after, the counseling process starts in June, while the admission process carries an end date in July.
