My honest review about my college.
Placements: Placements were average and not many companies visited the college for campus placements. The placement of this college was amazing. The maximum package was 45 LPA, and the average package was around 7 LPA - 9 LPA. Major students got placed in the top tech companies here. The placement policy was very good and designed such that major students got placed.
Infrastructure: Hostels were good. All of us were provided with single rooms from second year onward with 24 hours electricity, water and internet. LAN ports were available in every room. Mess food was average. It provided 4 meals a day. Hostel fee was Rs 15,000 per year for a single room. Mess fee was Rs 24,000 per year.
Faculty: The course curriculum was relevant, but the structure of course was not up to date. Faculty members were good and they helped you understand the concepts. They were well educated and they had doctorate degrees in their field. However, it's really important to manage time and study hours to excel. Each semester had 5-6 subjects. Each subject had 100 marks. Out of this major semester exam hold 60 marks, while 20 marks were internal exams. Faculty members of the college were very nice. They taught us in a very disciplined manner. They used to arrange many workshops and seminars from time to time for us. Teachers were all PhD holders and were very good. All the exams were done timely and the curriculum was according to the latest coding guidelines.
Other: I chose this course because it provided students amazing placements, its affordable as it fee was Rs 18,000 per annum. It had an amazing coding culture.

Review of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.
Placements: All the students of our batch did internships in the final semester, which is a part of our academics, where students choose different fields of work according to their interests. Some companies hired students as interns after their internship period, but there were no placements from our college.
Infrastructure: There are spacious classrooms with projectors, and speaker facilities are available. On the campus, the hostel facility is not available for students who come from far away places. The canteen provides quality food and snacks for both students and teachers. Students who are interested in sports are given full attention and all the facilities.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, and their quality of teaching is the best. They prepare students for the real world to face challenges. The difficulty level of semester exams ranges from moderate to tough and depends on the subject and question paper. The pass percentage for post-graduation is 50%.
Other: I chose this course because this provides a vast range of knowledge in different fields. More industry work can be added to the curriculum to provide students outside exposure. Event management, PR campaign, advertising campaign, etc., are provided in this course.

It is one of the reputed colleges in Chennai.
Placements: If you want to pursue PG here, then I suggest you not to rely on on-campus placements. Our college provides better placements for UG than PG. Professors did their level best to invite a few companies for placements. Few off-campus placements are arranged for our batch.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are moderate here and not much spacious but manageable. The canteen is the best thing about our college though they provide only vegetarian food items. However, its taste is excellent. Our college is located in the heart of the city, so travelling is not a huge concern. Library facilities are also provided here.
Faculty: Professors here are very knowledgeable, and you tend to learn many things from them other than practical knowledge. The way few professors handled the students of the classroom was very good. Our college gives equal importance to personality development. Teachers were well qualified.

Great college, good faculty can do a lot with a better humanitarian management.
Placements: M.O.P has a stellar placement history, especially in the media industry. I am not entirely sure of the statistics, but the college takes pride in its distinguished alumni who are now with the media industry, MNCs, entrepreneurs and communication professionals.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure looks upscale superficially. Once you start studying here, you will start to wonder where all the funds are going. The entire campus is powered by solar energy, and there are two lifts, separate restrooms for staff and students, drinking water, spacious auditoriums and canteen. Despite all this, the classrooms are stuffy with poor ventilation, and drinking water was not available for days together, students are not allowed to use the lift (unless you have a medical certificate); mobile phones are banned (which is funny considering almost all departments are smart classrooms with OHPs). There is a small medical facility with only a nurse with basic first-aid help. The library is disappointingly small with stringent rules that make you rather avoid the library unless it's a deadline.
Faculty: This is honestly the only reason, why I am still holding on to the course. Almost all teachers are very knowledgeable and have industry experience. The course curriculum is also pretty good, however, the modes of evaluation are very unfair. Teachers are helpful when one approaches them personally, but due to the management's strict policies, teachers are not able to deliver their best in class. Teaching methods are great, but each teacher has a signature style which everyone does not likes. Overall, it has very good faculty.
Other: The management seriously needs to reconsider its policies as they are too obsolete and most of the time impractical. This creates unwanted friction between students and teachers as well. This review is a heartfelt one that is not politically motivated, but a genuine one that needs to be said. Many of us here have had our share of bitter experiences with the management but are being silenced by force. Any efforts to bring this review to the management's all-seeing eye will make headlines across the country tarnishing everyone involved. We love journalism.

Fully satisfied and excellent coaching.
Placements: Various companies and MNCs visit the college every year. Out of 35 students, only 10 are getting placed. Many won't even attend the placements. Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Temenos, Ernst and Young etc. are the major companies that come every year. They need to improve placements for students who are concentrating on public relations and event management field.
Infrastructure: The college campus is not huge. Though the campus is small, all facilities are available like a proper studio with all lighting equipment, computer labs, library and two big auditoria. They should bring Mac computers for visual communication and MA communication students. Also, they should improve the book variety for each stream in the library.
Faculty: The college has very helpful and friendly teachers. The teachers will make us do all the works with full interest. We will learn a lot apart from books and theories. Various seminars and interactive sessions are conducted. The students will get a very good exposure. The course curriculum will be very useful, each student will be concentrating on various fields, and they can learn many things according to their interest.

MOP- a sneak peek into the college.
Placements: Placements were one of the best things about the M.O.P Vaishnav College for women, especially when it comes to media. They called institution from journalism, advertising, and content writing background as of now and hopefully, they would extend their branches and pull in various departments of media as well. This year Zoho, 2adpro and the Hindu had made their way into the campus till date. We had also been assured that many institution and corporates will visit us further and recruit us.
Infrastructure: MOP doesn't provide Wi-Fi or hostel facility to the students but had amazing labs and class rooms that were highly equipped. Both classrooms and labs had digital communication. The college also offers sports scholarship to the students. Apart from this, the college also had an active NCC cadet troupe. It provides medical facility that both the students and teachers can avail in case of an emergency or any sickness.
Faculty: If you want a perfect balance of education and entertainment, then MOP would be your perfect choice. The clean, neat and professional environment around MOP is the perfect choice for B.Com or any media course. Faculty members of this college are very understanding and knowledgeable.
Other: MOP provides you with ample opportunities to showcase your talent. MOP would be a perfect place to explore yourself as well as your talents. It also has one of the neat, clean and hygienic canteen that offers south Indian, north Indian, chats, desserts, pastries and snacks to feed the foodie in you.
