BTech courses at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus are open to students who have cleared their Class 12 board exams with a minimum aggregate of 50% from the CBSE or ISC, Tamil Nadu board. Candidates must also have Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects in Class 12 to qualify. Admissions are decided on the scores of the JEE Mains exam.

Mahalakshmi Tech Campus offers undergraduate programmes to students. These courses are provided across the Engineering stream. At the undergraduate level, the college offers B.E. and BTech courses to students. The four-year B.E. course is available in five specialisations such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and others. 

The total number of seats available for the BE courses in 2026 is currently unknown. Last year, each specialisation of BE had a total of 60 seats available during admissions. However, the BE in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) course only had 30 seats for allotment. There are a 5 specialisations of BE available at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus, making the total BE seat intake at the institute 270 seats.

Yes, candidates who wish to apply for lateral entry into the BTech or BE courses at Mahalakshmi Tech Campus can do so if they fulfill the eligibility criteria. To be eligible for lateral entry into Mahalakshmi Tech Campus BTech courses candidates must clear a Diploma course in Engineering.
