Mahatma Gandhi Government Engineering College Kotla Jeori.
Placements: College has a tie-up with some companies and provides an approximate package of 4.5 Lacs per year. Students need to clear all their course exams with at least 60% marks at the end of the degree to get a job in a reputed company or in a multinational company.
Infrastructure: The campus, infrastructure, labs, and classrooms are of very good quality. Wi-Fi facilities are provided on the campus for both teachers and students. The canteen and mess are also very hygienic, and a variety of food is available, which is also very nutritious.
Faculty: All the faculty members and teachers are very good, knowledgeable, and well-qualified, having Ph.D. in engineering and technology. The curriculum is based on the semester-wise system, and students need to pass every semester exam and secure credits.

    It's a very good collage.
Placements: Students must have up to 70% of the marks required to get admission to college. Till now, no placement will be offered because it is a new college, so the scope of placement will be smaller. You can apply for companies by yourself because, in this collage, it will not happen.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good and attractive and it has good building work with better structure. All facilities for wi-fi will be provided. The library is on the college campus for students to study in, and they also carry books from the college library.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and have very good nature. All the teachers are well qualified, have good teaching experience and also teach well. In a semester exam, you need minimum 24 marks to pass. The pass rate is good.
Other: I chose this course because I have trust in that work and trust in construction side. On the college campus, some parties will also be organized. Scholarships are also given to students who are eligible for them.

A brief review of MGGEC Jeori.
Placements: zero students were placed in our college as it was a new college. Out of 75 students, none were placed, and the highest and lowest packages were 0 LPA. There were no companies that came to our college for placement, as our placement cell college was not established.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course was very complicated. The hostel was not available at my time, but now the hostel is very good. Thank you very much.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were very good and intellectual, as teachers were highly qualified, and each teacher as a well experience of teaching. The curriculum for the exam was very complicated, as we used to have two MSTs per semester, and the semester was very tough. When CBCS was activated, we had many subjects. But, now there are students studying under NEP, and the study load is very low.
Other: I chose to become a civil engineer because my dad is also a civil engineer, so I was inspired from my childhood to become a civil engineer. Events and fests were also organized in my college once a year, which was very great.

This college is better than other engineering colleges in Himachal Pradesh.
Placements: The new batch from 2021 has started at Jeori Rampur Shimla, but we are studying off campus at JNGEC Sundar Nagar HP. The placement is not up to the mark as it is a new college. But still, teachers are trying their best for placements in the college.
Infrastructure: As it's a new college, work is in progress, construction is being done at Jeori Rampur. Hostels are under construction but there are old PWD rooms where students are staying. The machinery and technology which came to the college are nowhere in the Himachal Pradesh.
Faculty: Maximum teachers have done Ph.D. while some of the teachers are pursuing. Teachers are helpful they make us industry ready but as we know B. Tech is all about theoretical knowledge so the students have to study on their own and get themselves ready for the industry.

It has good infrastructure but I am not satisfied with the placements.
Placements: About 10-20% of students got placed in this college. The maximum package offered is about Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 25,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. More than 90% of the students got internships from our course. Companies like Mahendra, Sonalika Tractors, TVS, etc., visit the campus.
Infrastructure: There is no provision of Wi-Fi for students. The infrastructure of classrooms and the library is good. The labs are available but there is a lack of machines, tools, instruments which are not good for the students. There is no hostel facility in the college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were well qualified and very helpful. Their teaching quality is good. They conduct additional lectures to provide useful knowledge about the industry. The semester exams are not much difficult. The pass percentage is more than 80%.
Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. If the faculty focuses on the practical side more rather than the theoretical one that should be great.

    MGGEC kotla REVIEW BY RAJVEER
Placements: Student capacity of mechanical engineering is 60 and capacity of civil engineering is 60 but there is currently 30 students in mechanical and 40 to 50 students in civil engineering . Top recruiter are Tata Motors, Wipro etc. Since I am in first year I don't know details about anything on placement
Infrastructure: Our college is currently building, so in our new block there is no electricity but facility told us that electricity turned on in December. There is wifi everywhere in college and classroom can have maximum of 90 students per lecture. Food is only available for hostel students and there is no medical facility in college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and most of them are doctorate. All are knowledgeable and helpful students in their study and their teaching method are good. Since college is building all the practical labs are closed for students for time being. Semester exam are easy but required regular study to pass the exam.
