B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2018

College is good and satisfactory because of the infrastructure.
Placements: 83% of students are placed in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In my EEE course, the highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 4.5 LPA, and the average package is 7.5 LPA. In my college and in my ECE course, top recruiting companies are Intel India, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Broadcom, NXP Semiconductors, MediaTek, Micron, Samsung Semiconductor, and AMD. In my course, the offered roles are embedded software engineer, IoT engineer, firmware developer, control systems engineer, automation engineer, and R&D engineer.
Infrastructure: In my college, the facilities are good and comfortable, and the infrastructure of my college is very good and well-maintained. In my course of EEE, classrooms are maintained and cleaned every day. In my hostel, water and electricity are available 24 hours, and the quality of food is good. In the mess, hygienic food is available, and there is a hospital on campus. Sports facilities are good, and an indoor stadium is available in my college.
Faculty: In my college, teachers are good, and their behavior towards students is positive. They have good knowledge, and the curriculum is correct and relevant to electrical and electronics engineering. It generates interest in practical things like chip manufacturing. Semester exams are slightly tough, and the pass percentage is 83%.
Other: I am choosing electrical engineering because I am interested in connections everywhere; that's why I chose electrical. In my college, there are small amenities like a garden, and in my course, I hope to have more practical labs. Events and fests are going well, and the campus crowd is large. Scholarships are provided by the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, and connectivity is good in my college.

A college with great freedom.
Placements: 70 members joined my course. The highest package is 70+ LPA, the lowest package was 4 LPA, and the average of 6 LPA. Students with any courses can apply for the jobs and internships, but you need to pass all exams and must know programming languages.
Infrastructure: Every class has projects, and every department has its particular labs. Classrooms have more than enough space. The canteen has almost every type of food, very cost-friendly, the college encourages sports, and an indoor sports room and gym are available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, and every teacher can teach multiple languages and multiple technical skills. The course curriculum is relevant to the current market. By the 6th semester, students are able to do an internship. The exams are difficult, but you can get good grades if you are well-prepared.
Other: It is the current trending course in the market, and I am also interested in AI. It can be improved by adding more practical exams rather than writing on paper. The course can be improved by giving more information about the current AI model. This college has events, and very green college surroundings, and encourages extracurricular activities mostly related to movies.

Decent college with average placements, good faculty, but needs a curriculum upgrade.
Placements: Placements in our college are average. Around 60-65% of students from my batch got placed, mostly from Computer Science and IT branches, while core branches had comparatively fewer opportunities. The highest package offered was around 8-10 LPA, while the average package stayed between 3-4 LPA. The majority of offers came from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture, with a few product-based companies like Capgemini, Teach Mahindra, and HCL also visiting.
Infrastructure: Most faculty members are qualified and approachable, though teaching style varies from person to person. A few teachers are excellent at explaining concepts, while others just focus on completing the syllabus. The curriculum is mostly outdated and theory-heavy, with limited focus on practical skills and industry tools, so students often need to learn extra things outside class to be job-ready. Semester exams are moderately tough but manageable with consistent study, the pass percentage is usually above 85%. Overall, the faculty is supportive, but the curriculum needs a serious revamp to match industry standards.
Faculty: The infrastructure is fairly good, with well-maintained classrooms, projectors, and decent Wi-Fi across the campus. Labs are updated with necessary equipment, though some systems can be slow during speaker usage. The library is spacious with enough reference material, but the availability of the latest editions is limited. Rooms are compact but manageable. Mess food is average, repetitive at times, but hygienic. Medical facilities are available on campus but limited to basic care. Sports grounds and indoor facilities are decent and allow students to pursue extracurricular activities. Overall, infrastructure supports learning but could be improved.
Other: I chose this course mainly because of its relevance in the job market. The best part is that it gives a strong foundation in technical subjects. However, I wish the curriculum had more hands-on training, coding competitions, and exposure to real-world projects. College could improve in building stronger industry tie-ups, offering skill-based workshops, and making the campus more engaging for students.

Review of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology.
Placements: Those who have skills can get placed; those who have talent can get placed. Others who pass the time can't land a job, so they get as many certificates as possible for a good placement and earn a good salary. This is what I recommend: most guys who come to this college don't study.
Infrastructure: There is no good infrastructure, no proper sports, no badminton, and no proper equipment for sports. There is no proper infrastructure in place to support students who are interested in sports. The playgrounds are either too small or completely absent. In many cases, the available space is used for parking or other non-sport-related activities. As a result, students are left with no space to play, train, or practice. This not only affects their physical health but also their interest and enthusiasm for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are not satisfactory. Many students feel neglected or unsupported, especially when they seek help beyond the basic syllabus. Doubts are not taken seriously, and there is a general lack of engagement during classes. This creates a frustrating environment where learning becomes a burden rather than an exciting journey.
