Board Toppers Scholarships for Under Graduate Programs (Except for MBBS / BDS)
MAHE Manipal awards Board Toppers Scholarship to all Under Graduate (UG) Programs, for candidates from State/ CBSE/ ISC/ IB/ Cambridge/ Edexcel boards, during their 12th standard examinations.
The number of Board Topper scholarships for the various boards is as follows:
State Boards - Top 3
CBSE - Top 3
ISC - Top 3
IB - Top 3
Cambridge - Top 3
Edexcel - Top 3
CBSE/ ISC/ IB/ Cambridge/ Edexcel Boards – At All India level.
State Boards – At the respective State level.
Applicable for Students admitted under GENERAL category only.
The overall aggregate of the candidate must be a minimum of 90% or equivalent, in the qualifying examination to avail of this scholarship.
Scholar and Achiever Scholarship for all UG and PG Programs (except for BTech, BPharm, BSc Nursing, ME, UG / PG Medical / Dental, Super Specialty).
The minimum intake of the program must be 10.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
UG program: 80% (as per selection criteria) in 10+2 from a recognised Board.
PG program: 70% aggregate in UG from a recognized University.
For the UG and PG Programs with Manipal Entrance Test (MET), MET Rank will be used for the allotment of Scholarship provided the candidate satisfies the above mentioned minimum eligibility criteria for Scholarship.
Scholar category:
Scholar Scholarships constitutes 5% of the GENERAL category intake for each branch / program and is applicable for the entire program duration, starting 1st year of the program.
Achiever category:
Achiever Scholarship constitutes 5% of the GENERAL category intake for each branch / program is applicable at the beginning of 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year and 5th year based on the annual academic performance in the immediate previous year i.e. 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year depending on the Program duration.

Placements: The placement in our course was extremely good compared to other colleges. Around 85 percent of students were placed in our course. The average package was around 6 LPA. The starting package in our course was a little bit low. The highest package was 12 LPA. 60 percent of students received internship offers. Top recruiting companies were NDTV, Times Now, etc.
Placements: Many students get placed. It depends on your skills and experience for this course. You have to read news and related material. Top companies that recruit include Reuters, the TOI Group, etc. Internships are offered, and CNN/BBC placements range from 5 LPA to 7 LPA.
Placements: The placement percentage in our course is around 80-85%. Top leading new agency companies are our recruiters like the Times, NDTV, CNN, etc. The highest package offered in our course is 18 LPA. The average package is around 5 LPA. 70-80% of students get internship offers.
Placements: Placements here are pretty average because there’s no support from the university. A few of our lecturers help with placements for some students, while the rest have to find jobs by themselves. The highest package that someone has received is around 9 LPA.
Placements: The alumni network of Manipal Institute is quite solid. We do get a bunch of internship and placement opportunities based on alumni recommendations, but one of the major recommendations is for IT sector companies like TCS, which offers internal communication internships and also gives a good stipend. At the end of the day, almost all students get placed primarily in IT, followed by FMCG and lastly, finance companies. Placements: Our college is known for its placements. Every year, hundreds of companies come to our college for recruitment. Last year, the placement rate was above 70 percent in our course. Top recruiting companies are the BBC Group, India Today, CNN, etc. These companies offer an average package of INR 10 LPA. For internships, colleges collaborate with some companies to provide internships for students.

The BSc placement data has not been released. However, the overall placement stats for UG 3-year courses is out. Out of 49 UG 3-year students, 47 were placed during placements 2024. The median package offered was INR 3 LPA. Earlier, 28 out of 122 UG 3-year students were placed during placements 20

As per the NIRF report 2025, out of 37 students 30 were placed during Manipal Institute of Communication MA placements 2024. The median package offered to MA batch 2024 was INR 5 LPA. Earlier, 26 out of 43 MA students were placed during placements 2023. The 2023 median package offered was INR 7 LPA
