The duration of BDes course offered by MSAP is 4 years or 8 semesters. The MSAP BDes course in Interior Design can be exited by a student within 3 years. This results in a BA in Interior Design degree awarded to them at the end of their course. However, students who exit the BDes course in 3 years are not allowed to rejoin the same BDes course again.

The MSAP BDes entrance exam is the Manipal entrance test or MET for short. According to the student reviews, the difficulty of MET exam is on the easy-medium difficulty where it is easier to crack in comparison to state level entrance exams such as JEE or COMEDK.
