I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: There are 60 students in our batch, and we are currently waiting for the final year results. Internships are also provided.
Infrastructure: Our college location is good. Our campus has great infrastructure and the ambiance is good. There is a well-specialised hospital. There is a library that provides academic-related books. Wi-Fi is not available, and classrooms are average. Laboratories are available for almost all subjects but facilities are few. Hostel facilities are average. The infrastructure is good and the food quality is average. There are 4 students in a room. You cannot go home or anywhere without a message from your parents. There are no facilities for sports and games. Medical facilities are not available.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. Semester exams are not easy. Students can also learn Urdu. The pass percentage is almost 90%. Our course curriculum is relevant. We learn subjects like anatomy, physiology, gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, forensics, etc. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a doctor and also I am interested in Unani medicine. If we could get more practical knowledge from college then it would be better. Arts and sports are conducted every year. Our campus is good. This college has to improve a few facilities. Scholarships are also provided. If we could get more practical knowledge then it would be better.

Worth the money, as it's sure that you will be made into a great doctor after this.
Placements: This college is the first Unani Medical College in Kerala. Normally, there is above 50+ students in each batch. The course provides you with fluency in other languages, such as Urdu and Arabic. As soon as you finish this course, you can start working in clinics or hospitals, or you can opt for post-graduation studies. You can even opt for government jobs.
Infrastructure: We do have our own library consisting of unani based books and also modern medicine based books which helps us for reference. The classrooms are medium with facilities like projector, board etc. There is also department for each subjects. Hostel and rooms are great, where each room consists of 2 bunk beds for 4 people with a table, chair, cupboard, etc. The food is edible and dining facilities are also available on the ground floor near the mess.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and understanding. They are well-experienced in their field. Their experience is more than 10 years in teaching fields. The students, after their classes, will be well aware of their subjects and have a good idea about them. The pass percentage of each subject is 50 percent in both theory and practical. The exams are not too tough if you have a clear idea about the subjects.
Other: It was the only BUMS college in Kerala. The surrounding area of this college is great too.

Markaz Unani Medical College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| BUMS | Candidates should have passed 10th or 12th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as a subject or clear the test of Urdu in the Entrance Examinations conducted by University or Board or Registered society authorised by the Government. Candidate who has not passed Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as one of the subjects in the 10th Standard or in 12th Standard, shall have to study Urdu language along with Arabic and Mantiq Wa Falsafa (Logic and Philosophy) as a subject during the First Professional BUMS session. Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2023. |
