Review of Building & Construction Technology - MBM Engineering College.

Placements: In our college, 60% of placements are in BCT. INR 6 lacs is the highest package, and INR 4 lacs is the lowest. L&T, JK Cement, and Wonder Cement are the companies that conduct drives at our college. Approximately 70% of the students get internships and top roles.

Infrastructure: Our hostel's infrastructure is in good condition compared to others, and wi-fi is also available. Purified water is there. The library is available with many standard books, and in the labs we have many instruments. Food is good. Three-bed hostels are available for the first year, and two-bed hostels are available for the second and third years.

Faculty: Our teachers are of a helping nature, and their teaching skills are good. All the faculty have good knowledge. College exams are conducted at the same time. Semester exams are of a good level, and exam results are also declared on time. The paper pattern is easy, and you have to attempt five questions out of eight questions.

It is the oldest engineering college in Rajasthan.

Placements: Placements from this college are pretty impressive and great. In the branches like computer science, mining, mechanical, civil, electrical and all other branches, there is a great percentage of placement. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Gail, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Larson and Turbo and many others. All the willing students get internships from our college. Top roles offered are mining engineer, manager, software developer, program coordinator, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good and free to use for students, and the quality of the facilities is great and impressive. The major is Wi-Fi connection, which is free and easily accessible in all the areas of college and college hostels. Labs are very good, clean and highly advanced. The environment of the labs is very good and motivating. In the hostel campus, we get free Wi-Fi, landline connection, 24x7 electricity supply and water supply, clean toilets and good furniture. Staff members here are very cooperative, and the food quality is also perfect.

Faculty: The curriculum is very diversified and good for the all-around development of students. Student here can easily find their talent and work on it to improve that. They got an opportunity in various fields to learn more. The curriculum makes students life ready, not only for the industry. Our college students are very talented that they find their way in any critical situation. Some of them are on high posts like railway minister, ISRO, etc. Exams here are not that difficult and not that easy. If your study properly and have practical knowledge, then you can easily pass the exams.

Other: I have chosen this college mainly because of the college's history and quality. The college is famous that any other college students respect our college and their students. Not only in Rajasthan but all over India, this college is famous in the engineering field. In our department, instruments are old and not that advance. In the race of technical advancement, our department is a bit poor. Events and fests are continuously organised and eventually enjoyed. Many Bollywood singers, actors and Punjab industry stars visited here in the past few years. Recently famous star Parmish Verma held a show here.

Overall, the college is satisfactory. It can be improved by providing good mentors and useful data.

Placements: The placements in our college are average. The placements provided for engineering students are good but not good for architecture students, which is a little partial. Students have to get placed on their own to have a bright future, and it is the major drawback for the students in this college.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is provided on the whole campus, and it is good. Hygienic food is provided. Classrooms are huge. A resourceful library is available in the college. Games and sports facilities are good. A lot of knowledge can be gained in the labs. Hostel rooms are good and very hygienic. Medical facilities are good but can be improved further.

Faculty: The faculty members are average. They don't guide us in a useful manner. Students have to take their own initiative to learn and find out the things. They provide very less information and data, that's why we lack software and drafting skills.

Other: Events conducted in the college are not much good. Scholarships are provided only to the engineering students.

What we think and what we found.

Placements: Our senior says, many companies visit campus. TCS is the company which take student from all branches. There are 50-60 student placed. Minimum required % for placement is 60% with no backlogs. The highest placement was 24lac in CS. Yes a TPO cell in this college. Stipend during internship is 5000 average.

Infrastructure: This college is very old. There are not type of facilities and their buildings are not good. Food quality of canteen is not good as we want but it is okay. Hostel rooms are not good with proper facilities. Yes we face many problem related to infrastructure. College campus is very wide but yes we faces many issues.

Faculty: Teacher are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Quality of permanent faculty is good but guest faculty members are less than permanent faculty in teaching skills and quality. We have to study itself. Teachers occasionally take the classes but lab occur every day.

Other: There are all type of activities held.

Good place for people who can actually use resources well.

Placements: Just okay placements. Neither good nor bad. Students are able to bag good placements via their efforts that they have put in for 4 years. Placements usually are good but then again, not very sufficient for every one. No training is provided. It's all upto the student. Somehow still better than most of the colleges in the state. It's an old and established college and companies trust them.

Infrastructure: Poor infrastructure. For a college established in 1976, the maintenance provided is zero. But somehow the equipment is above average. Food - unhygienic. Canteen has limited number of items which taste good sometimes but are unhygienic. Same goes for the hostels. Labs somehow have very good equipment and are maintained well also. So practical experience is good. The equipments are good, buildings are not.

Faculty: Course curriculum is very good. Available faculty are very good. Though there is lack of faculty. There is lack of experienced faculty and those who are there, they are negligent towards student except a few who care and are brilliant. Not generalising. If the student is enthusiastic enough, faculty is helpful.

My college is the best in every field.

Placements: The placement is average in this college. Every year, 7 to 8 students are joining the companies for which they got selected. There is no 100% placement. However, many companies visit this college, and many students get placed, but the students are not interested in joining those jobs since they are interested in clearing civil services like as UPSC, IES and others.

Infrastructure: The whole college is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. The labs are completed, which we required. The classrooms are well. The libraries are big and good. There is no medical facility. The sports and games are well, and they run time to time. The canteen is well, but the food is not well. The hostel is good, but it is far and also elevation, but the hostel room is disgusting, and they are not repaired from the last 20 years.

Faculty: The faculty members are well in my branch, and I listened that another branch faculty members are also good. My branch is building and construction technology, and this is equivalent to civil engineering. We read the whole course of civil engineering and architecture subject building drawing. So, I am both civil and architect engineer.

Good infrastructure but underutilised.

Placements: The placement % was pretty low in 2015. Only IT and computer science students' placement % were above 60%. For core branches like mechanical, civil, electrical etc, the placement percentage was below 30%. The highest package offered was 12 lakhs by Adobe and the average package was 3.5 lakhs per annum.

Infrastructure: This college is one of the oldest in Rajasthan and has got one of the biggest campuses. One needs a bike to go through the entire campus. The infrastructure is pretty good in terms of area and functionality. There are computer labs, stationery shops, canteen, etc within the campus. Various sports ground are also there on the campus but are not maintained well.

Faculty: The problem here are the teachers and faculty. They are on a government pay and thus take minimum effort. The curriculum is also old and not up to date. One has to rely on self-study a lot and that definitely prepares you for the tough battles ahead of the journey. The faculty ratio is also pretty low.

Makes student's life memorable.

Placements: Companies like TCS, HCL, Adani etc come to our college and select students on their basis of caliber. Min package was 3.5 lakh to a max of 20 lakh. To enhance practical knowledge, internships are compulsory for students and students can select companies according to their wish.

Infrastructure: Our college has almost all the facilities such as electrical, computer, geological etc labs, wifi, general section for documents related work, canteen, where good quality food and with proper hygiene is prepared. Departments of various branches with their respective labs.

Faculty: The faculty is too helpful and knowledgeable. Students' experience with them is good and it's like an honour by being taught by them. Teachers make a note that students get thorough knowledge about that subject and for that, they also take us to construction sites.

Other: They try to call good companies so that student can excel in every field. The course curriculum is very useful as the same course is there for other technical exams. Fests also are conducted so that students can enhance their skills in other fields than just studying.
