I recommend students to join here if they want a good government college.
Placements: Placement ratio is overall good for the college. If I talk about my department placement ratio, then the ratio or percentage is more than 80%, so that's good for students. The highest package offered this year is 15 LPA, which is offered by the Cvent company. Many companies like Miniorange, Tech Mahindra, Havells, etc., hire students.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure is okay. There are many new labs in my department. Processors of CPU are very good, like 4050 GPU of 12 GB and 32 GB ram, which is a very advanced system. There are also 5G labs in my department. Wi-Fi is okay, but the hostel's infrastructure is old and not good for use. Water leaks from the roof of the bathroom. Food quality is overall bad. At the start, the cook was good, but then made it the worst. The canteen is good.
Faculty: Faculty members in my department are new. Mostly, there are guest faculty members. Teaching quality is okay. Some teachers are good and attend classes, but some don't. The course curriculum is good. It is future-focused as it focuses on placement. It is also good for GATE. More than 95% of the GATE syllabus is covered by the college syllabus. Semester exams are held mostly in December and in May, but results are declared very late. The December exam results come after 15 May.

Good curriculum and decent infrastructure.
Placements: Around 40% of students are placed, including tech and core branches, the highest package is 16 LPA and the lowest is 4.5 LPA. Companies like MiniOrange, Kanerika, and Herald recruited students, almost all the students got internships, mostly in DRDO Jodhpur, roles offered include software engineer, AI engineer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent, but the labs are outdated, most systems have 4GB RAM, which is not enough to run even basic applications. Most students use their own laptops, Wi-Fi has a very poor signal, so nobody uses it. Hostels are fine, but the food is not good enough to eat daily. Students often eat outside or order from online food delivery apps.
Faculty: If you leave a few teachers, then the rest are well qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. But very few of those teachers take regular classes. This is the best part of my college, the curriculum is well updated and up to industry standards. It is easy enough to pass with one week of preparation.
Other: The AI is booming, so I choose BE in AI & this. Best thing is the curriculum of the college. No fest.

Earlier, college was good, but now there are poor teachers, weak facilities, and average placements.
Placements: In the current year, many companies came to recruit students, such as Vedanta, Kanerika, Mini Oranges, RCAT, etc. Till now, 40 students have been selected in my course with a minimum package of 4 LPA and a maximum of 7.5 LPA. Generally, the roles offered by tech companies are for software engineers. Kanerika took 4-5 students, and Mini Oranges took 30 students with variable packages of 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is no WiFi available, no proper AC in classrooms, and mostly lectures are cancelled in my course. Computers are Windows 7 with i3 processors. Otherwise, the college is good. The hostel has only basic facilities like decent rooms and a big area for sports. There are zero extra facilities in the hostel, no WiFi, no canteen on the hostel campus, poor quality of food available in the mess, broken doors and windows, and fans that are not working properly.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach like professionals, the course curriculum is quite relevant, mainly focused on practical work rather than only theoretical and I think semester exams are quite difficult, and 35 marks out of 100 is the passing criteria.
Other: Our course is good. I took this because of the need in current times. Events, fests, etc. are big words for our college. I have passed almost 3 years, and none of them happened.

Good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: 50-60% of students are placed during placements. The highest would be 20 LPA, and the lowest would be 4 LPA. Average package would be 7 LPA. We have to look for internships for 2 and 3 year students but not for 4th-year students. Only mining students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is provided to the department. AC labs and well-furnished classrooms are available to all departments. Hostels are in good condition for girls but for boys they are just fine. Mess is provided. But sports and games are not provided for hostels.
Faculty: Our college has well-qualified and skilled teachers. They are helpful in every manner. Teaching quality is quite fine. Curriculum is relevant for us. In our field, we mostly have to put in efforts so teachers must guide us to achieve. Exams are moderate to hard.

Best government engineering college.
Placements: 66%-70% of my course and other branch students have gotten placements. The maximum on-campus placement this year is 20 LPA, while the average package is almost 8-9 LPA. The highest package offered off-campus has a whopping 51 LPA from Microsoft. Nearly all the students got internships at various reputed tech companies. Many successful founders also have connections with the college. This year, 2025, 20 LPA is the highest from CSE.
Infrastructure: One of the oldest engineering colleges in Rajasthan, its infrastructure is similarly old. The library is well-stocked with a decent number of books. The boys' hostel is old, while the girls' hostel is newly built. The mess serves average food. There's a government dispensary right in front of the hostel campus, and sports grounds are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and in the technical branch, most of the teachers are guest faculty. The course curriculum is very relevant, as it is quite close to the syllabus of several competitive exams, such as GATE, DRDO, banking, etc. It also has a focus on placement, thereby making it very effective and beneficial for students.
Other: If you want to do a degree from a good government college, you should definitely take admission, and it's good for core branches.

The only reason is one of the oldest colleges and alumni networks.
Placements: About 70% of students got placed. Packages range from 4 LPA to 18 LPA, depending on your branch. Almost everyone got an internship in companies like Adani, Havells, etc. It is one of the oldest colleges. As it was established in 1950 and introduced the computer science branch in the 90s.
Infrastructure: It's a government college. The infrastructure of the college is okay, but the hostels are not in good condition. Sports occur annually, and food in the hostel is below average. There used to be selection and cultural events, but for many years they have been on hold due to many reasons, and the process in government colleges is very slow. One advantage is that it is between the city accessible to other parts of city.
Faculty: Some faculty are very good, and some don't care about academics. Students have to be self-dependent in skills and marks. Semester exams are quite tough, and the pass percentage is about 80%. Faculty didn't take enough care, a student must take care of himself.
Other: One of the reasons to choose this course is that it's a government college and better than many private colleges. It's a value for money if you work hard, you can crack a decent placement.

Honest review of life at MBM University, Jodhpur.
Placements: I will be honest, actually I am in artificial intelligence and data science branch which is a new branch and has only 2 batches until now one of which is in their final year. I am in my 3rd year so I cannot say much about placements because there are none up until now. Talking about internships and quality of studies almost every student who deserves an internship got it. The most famous internship and the one with most students from my course is DRDO internship. So, placements will be good, overall good.
Infrastructure: There are two campuses North and South. North campus is the one that has my department, and all the other infrastructure on my campus is new and continuous upgrades are going on too. Lecture halls for first year students are a bit old and not in a good condition. Wi-Fi and labs are all in good condition with all the necessary equipment. Boys hostels are not in such a good condition and are old but girls hostels are new and are in a really good condition. Food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are super helpful and knowledgeable about my department. They have all the knowledge you need, and the teaching quality is good too. You get out of the college fully industry-ready. Semester exams, I would say, are not that hard unless you don't study. If you study even before 10 days of exam its easy to crack the exam.
Other: I chose this course due to my keen interest in computers since my childhood.

There is no fixed minimum or maximum percentile for B.Tech CSE because it depends on the college you are targeting.

For top colleges like NITs and IIITs, general category students usually need around 97–99+ percentile for CSE. For EWS category, the cutoff is slightly lower, around 94–97 percentile.

With 90 percentile in JEE Main (OBC-NCL, Female, Home State MP), your chances for B.Tech CSE are quite realistic in MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and other state/NIT options. Let’s break it down:

Yes, JEE is required minimum 90 percentile in JEE to get admission in CSE. It also aids with the home state, and you want to fill out the application form to get admission.

Since you're above the EWS cutoff but fall below the general—though in a borderline territory—your percentile is promising.
