MITAOE Admission 2025: Application, Eligibility & Selection Process

MIT Academy of Engineering (AOE) is also known as MIT Alandi offers various UG & PG courses in multiple specialisations under the field of Engineering and Designing. The institute mainly offers two popular courses, i.e., BTech, BDes and MTech. Find below the list of specialisation offered for BTech and MTech courses at MIT Academy of Engineering:

To get admission to a two-year M.Tech course at MIT AOE, the minimum eligibility criteria is to pass a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant stream of Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Admission to this course is entirely entrance-based. Candidates are selected based on their valid scores obtained in GATE entrance exam. 

To get admission in the PhD programme of MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi, the candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• BE/BTech in relevant branches of Computer Engineering from the All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government-approved institutions or equivalent, with an aggregate of at least 55% (50% in the case of candidates of backward class categories and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State only)
• ME/MTech in relevant branches of Computer Engineering from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government-approved institutions or equivalent, with an aggregate of at least 55% (50% in the case of candidates of backward class categories and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State only)
• MTech with SPPU PET Qualified Score
• Obtained a 50% score in the MITAOE PhD Entrance Test. Exemption in MITAOE PET: The candidate must obtain a qualified score in the Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the IIT and/or in SPPU PET

No, MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi does not offer the option for distance learning for any of its courses. All of the courses provided at MITAOE Alandi (BTech, BDes, M.Tech and PhD) are in full-time and offline mode. The students need to take the classes in-person and should also maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in each semester.

MIT AOE offers a four-year BDes course in the stream of Designing. This course is offered across three specialisations, namely Product Design, User Experience Design and Communication Design. To get admission to this course, candidates must pass MAH BDes CET entrance exam.

MIT Academy of Engineering, MAEER provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. For obtaining MIT AOE Alandi Pune admission, candidates are selected on the basis of entrance tests. Accepted exams include MHT CET, JEE Main, MAH AAC CET, etc.

The GATE 2026 registration is now ongoing at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can fill out the application form till September 28 (without late fees). The last date to submit the GATE 2026 application form with late fees is October 9. 

Candidates must note that the GATE application form will be made available at the GOAPS portal only. The portal link is now activated. 

The important chapters in Physics, Chemistry and Maths for JEE Mains exam January shift are:

Physics - Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Optics, Mechanics. Moderate weightage: Modern Physics, Magnetism, Thermodynamics, Waves. Relatively lower weightage: Units and Dimensions, Experimental Physics, Kinematics.

Chemistry - Physical Chemistry (Stoichiometry, Chemical Equilibrium, Thermodynamics), Inorganic Chemistry (s-Block, p-Block elements), Organic Chemistry (Reactions of Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes, Benzene)

Maths - Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Algebra, Vector Algebra, Probability and Statistics.

Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which the GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. MHT CET counselling 2025 is over. The schedule of MHT CET counselling registration was announced on the official website and the same can be checked on Shiksha. The MHT CET counselling registration started on June 28 and the last date to register for the counselling was July 11. The last date for documents verification was July 12, 2025.
