Commonly asked questions
On Comparisons
Q:   How do the placements at MIT School of Engineering and Sciences compare to top government colleges like SPPU or Fergusson?
A:

While government colleges like SPPU have a massive reputation that attracts legacy recruiters, MIT SOES often provides more personalized placement support and grooming sessions. However, because MIT is private, you might find more "niche" tech companies visiting, whereas government colleges rely on their long-standing brand name to pull in the big giants.

Q:   Is the higher fee at MIT SOES worth it compared to more affordable options?
A:

It depends on what you value. If you want modern labs, high-tech infrastructure, and a more "corporate" campus feel, the premium at MIT might feel justified. If your main goal is getting a degree with a strong academic foundation without a heavy loan, institutes like Fergusson or Pune University offer much better "value for money."

My review of this college.
Placements: The placement scenario is great. There are many job opportunities, and we can take placements either on campus or off campus. The college has a maximum number of placements every year, which is too good. There are generally 80% placements. Ample of companies come here like Tata, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Google, Microsoft, etc. The average package ranges from 10-11 LPA, and it is different at every company. The highest package is 25 LPA. Our college provides internships. A number of core companies are coming for internships.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is good and very disciplined. Every rule is followed in a strict manner. There are enough rooms to accommodate all students, and it provides everything like a bed, mattresses, a bucket, and a pillow. Students do not have to carry anything except their clothes and things for daily use. The hostel is always clean. Bathrooms are always clean. The food is too good in the mess, and it is hygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They are cooperative and very helpful. They support us in all ways. They are knowledgeable. I am totally satisfied with the faculty members. The exam pattern is a 2-semester system in a year. One semester has two 20-mark exams and one 60-mark exam, along with practical exams. There are marks for attendance and assignments too. There are 10 marks for assignments and attendance. The course curriculum is industry-oriented. The course is structured in such a way that students learn what industries need, and this type of learning helps students get better jobs.
Other: College life is not just about studies. There are so many events happening in the college where we get the faculty members' support.
